Sold #28. I'm out.

You'll enjoy the Z for sure! I had a track edition as a demo car a couple days ago, and it was a torque monster! Handled very nicely, too. I, personally, would have gotten an RX-8 over the 350Z, but I would love to slap twin turbos on that Nissan! Congrats!

Where are you in nebraska??

NJ actually, highest rates in the country ...

Anyone want some spool springs or MSP/P5/MP3 motor mounts? I will let them go cheap if you are local and want to pick up(08555 area code).

Thanks guys.

I'm loving the Z. It's broken in now so I'm able to have some fun. NA torque is damn cool. ;)
Actually, I was considering an RX-8, but in every review I saw, it always ended with, "The RX8 is a nice car, blah blah... but honestly the 350Z has our vote." And, considering I had so many problems with my car, I was not interested in another Mazda -- especially with the whole re-call fiasco the RX8 has already had, and owners complaining of "hesitation." No thanks. :) You can just tell the Z is so well built. Everything is solid and feels high quality. The engine doesn't mind some more power either. We have a G35 Coupe at Billet Design with just the GReddy TT kit and NX "Ntercooler" setup. It recently made 442rwhp @ 7.6psi on pump gas. Drives, feels, and sounds like a stock G35 out of boost. Very sweet. (glare)

Gonna at least give us some pics of the new beast?

Me personally, yeah, I'd take any 350 over my Mazdaspeed. Not to mention the track edition! That would be a blast.

Alex

Every time I hear about the Z, I think of the one local guy with an MSP who t raded his track edition 350Z in on the MSP because of the orrible stock alingment problems and need to replace the tires every 6 months NOT under warranty...

prolly not...
It's just, like, riced out from the factory. It's got all this stuff in it that I'll never need. That's why I liked the P5. It was simple and wasn't trying to be something, that I thought, wasn't.(shrug)

How is a msp riced out? I guess if you dont need turbo, nice rims, sound system, and an amazing suspension then your right stick with a p5

Yeah, the seats, the shift knob, the system, just everything about the car. I just don't like it. I've driven them. I simply wasn't all that impressed at all. I'm not saying I don't like them in the same way I dislike a Honda Civic, I just don't like what Mazda did to that car. I still think it's a near car, just not something I'd ever own.

i traded my P5 for a mazdaspeed cause it was too plain, and it was slow and would cost alot more to make it like a speed. And at the time there were no turbo upgrades. I wanted to make it pretty fast and didn't see support so i got the speed and figured i'd work with it. I haven't seen my car in 2 weeks and i'm here in Las Vegas on Nellis AF base for a test on the V22 Osprey and I saw a titanium Silver here that is exactly like mine and it looked ******* awesome. I've never seen one driving before that. :) I love my car.

Awsome 350zs are hot! WEll to tell you the truth im not a fan of the looks that sloaping back just doesnt cut it for me. Im more of a G35 guy! But its the same platform which makes it hot! its awsome...Greddy TT kit means instant 12 sec on street tires. No more tracktion problems that FWD cars tend to have with weight transfer. Post pics!

I guess I got it because I just wanted a car that was fast, and thats it.
Awsome but what exactly is fast*?

- acceleration?
- 1/4 mile times?
- Cornering?
- top speed?
- 0-60?
- sloam numbers?
- lateral Gs?

Cuz I consider a car with all those as FAST like a Ferrari Enzo or Louts Elise. I dont consider a car that can do a 1/4 mile in 12s as fast because if theres a corner its not gonna be fast enough because a car is gonna have to break way early...allowing the slower car to catch up. I have a fine example of a Skyline GT-R and a RX-7 taking on each other in Japan. The GT-R smokes it on the straights but the RX-7 catches up on the corners. RX-7 won...

Not arguing just wondering...the conception of fast is a lot diffrent from the rest of the world. WE think fast as top fuel dragsters and NASCAR but in Europe "Fast" is a FIA F1 car, GT car and rally car. In Japan "Fast" is a road course or JGTC car and anything that can take corners fast. Australlia a Fast car is also a drag car. What do you guys percieve as Fast because I have a european mindset on Fast...I think Fast is being able to do all that even if it is out of my price range. Im just a big F1 car and I argue with NASCAR fans about the word "Fast." Yeah NASCAR is "fast" if the goal is to only make left turns and run around a circle for hours. Same can be said about a 1/4 mile car. ...yeah your car is fast if the object is to go in a straight line. The word "fast*" should have an "* (astrik)" next to it! Try explaining this to the guys I see saturday...they want a 12 sec or less car to race. a 13 sec MSP isnt worth the time...but im confident that the MSP will smoke a lets sat 70 mustang around a corner...thus its the faster car. I guess its all reletive to the other person. I've been debating becasue I want to spend my money making the car handel better but I will never get respect unless I have a dyno queen. but I know in a FWD car all that power isnt gonna make any difference...just a braging right. So my goal is 250 whp. But im still debating wether to go for more just so I can brag...??? Its like the difference between a 600 hp supra and a 1000 hp supra. On regular street tires they probally run the same times. But the 1000 hp supra always get the respect. even though the 600 hp one has the potential to be a all round good blanced car...JGTC supras have 500 hp.
