so I'm going down highway 121/12,it's a 2 lane,next thing I now I'm in water!.the f#*cking highway was flooded!
when your doing 60 into water it's kinda hard to stop so I ended up about half way up my doors in water.
there was a guy behind me as well,he hit and ended up in a ditch.

motor is now full of water at my shop, and insurance won't let me touch it till a adjuster looks at it.not to mention the interior is full of water as well.

this happened on monday night ,and he won't be here till this monday, thas a long time to leave water in my motor.
but it doesn't matter anyway, because there is no way that the connecting rods held up to that any way.

the thing that pissed me off the most was that there was a cop on the other side of the flood that watched me do it,and watched me push my car to the other side, and comment"I tried to flash my head lights at you."

Holy crap dude, that sucks! I want pics! I bet you were shitting yourself eh? I know I would've been! ******* Cali!

well theres a first for everything. Sorry for the bad luck. If you keep the car,it would be a good time to forge the internals!!

and the part that sucks is from what I hear, most insurance companies won't cover hydrolock.... At least a few major ones that I asked.

best of luck!!

sorry. I hate when people put minimal effort into warning somone about something. It happens more than people think.

I wish u best of luck

Yeah warnings help, I live near Ft Bragg and the little guys training run around here in there Hum Vee's and just happen to get one stuck in a 1 ft deep ditch (how you do this is beyond me) and they are all out of it standing in the middle of the highway on the other side of a blind curve looking at it. I came around the corner at 55 like a good little citizen to see Elmer standing in the middle of the road starting at me about 100 feet away. I had to use the ABS on this guy not to hit him... that would have been a first in a protege also. Involentary Manslaughter....(chair)

That sucks horribly man....I hope it all works out for you. This is one of those rare moments when one appriciates living in New England, where I have never seen a flooded highway.

running into a flooded highway with no warnings should constitute as an act of god and be covered under insurance! when the hurricane hit here my cowrkers 300ZX was flooded in a subground parking garage at his marina. and i mean flooded almost over the roof. insurance totaled it!

insurance is definatly covering it,and yes I am going forged, and a gt28,and MPI.
I've benn planning on it for awile, but haven't been able to have the down .the insurance has deemed it "unavoidable, and not my fault"time.wasn't going to do it tillafter april, now I get to do it early(alright)

for now the car is sitting at mine and my buddies shop,it's called PERFORMANCE WEST, in petaluma CA.incase anyone is in that area you should stop by.

the adjuster comes tomarrow to decide price

Damn, that sucks pretty bad. I have a hard time believing that it would get flooded that bad but then again norcal gets some crappy weather sometimes.

After reading this and driving to work in a downpour today, I'm getting a little nervous.
It's very good insurance is covering it.

hehe, awesome.
sux for the interior though.

can u say, SPARCO TORINOS?!?!

(boom07)

so I pulled the carpet, ecu, and turbo out today.carpet smells like ass,ECU is fried, and the turbo is siezed, all in all it was a good day.

there was still an inch of water on the floor pan after taking out the carpet.

oh yeah,my lo-jack was under water too,is that going to be a problem(glare)

by the way how well does the gt28 drop in,any modifacations?inlet size the same?

and why is the housing only a .60A/R when the smaller t25 is a .80?
