i don't kno why you guys keep posting the location of the hurricane. everybody knows where its at. everybody in florida follows it and at any point knows where its at and its direction. and most people who are are not in florida or southeast couldn't care less about it.

Not true at all. Most of us up here in NC seem to keep an eye on these things because we get burned also. 16 inches of rain the past two days in parts western NC will keep you alert.

Steering winds are caused by a high pressure system also known as a Bermuda High. The edge of that high is over Florida.

well, they don't just look at the hurricane. they look at pressures and fronts around it and how fast and where they move. then they calculate how that will effect the hurricane.

national hurricane center was way off with charley. they were right on the money with frances.

if they are right with this one, every single person on the west coast of florida will have to evacuate to the east side.

ive got a steal carport its stopped some trees and thats about it but yea by the time it get to us im thinking itll be a 3 at the most and im hopping for a Tropical storm really...

when one heads this way, i take my car to my dads shop(where i work) and put my car in the air on a lift, then lock the lift down.. that way it cant get flood damage and it is inside the entire time.. trust me, when it floods in louisiana, it FLOODS.. just a small hurricane , we had one last year, brought 4 to 5 feet of water in low lying areas. about 6 inches where i am at(i am 7 feet above sealevel).

i do find it wierd though that ever hurricane this season has dodged us and nailed florida or the east coast.. by all means i dont want this hurricane , florida doesnt deserve another hit, i say hit mexico!!! hell , it will still cost all of us even if it hits mexico.. cause you know the usa, we help ALL the helpless... out of the tax payers expence..

Looks like i might have to use my car lift to protect my car.... florida is gettin a break.. yall need it , but we dont need the hurricane that is taht strong... they have it going from louisiana, to the florida panhandle... in other words, they dont know s***.. all they know is that who ever it hits is ******.. they say it should be a cat 4 when it hits, but yet it isa cat5 right now...
