So what mods CAN be done without voiding the factory warranty?

I just want to make a list. I'm assuming almost nothing. (pissed)

Oh, and will Mazda start selling their own CAIs anytime soon?

Technically, no mod voids the factory warranty. The warranty is void only if your mod causes a problem. And the dealer has to prove it was your mod that caused the problem, ie, the burden of proof is on the dealer.

Best to ask your dealer about that. They all have different opinions.

As far as I know, Mazda has never/will never sell CAIs.

Great Pai Mei pic, btw!! (2thumbs)

not true russel mazda of baltimore tried to get me to buy aftermarket parts for my pro when i first got it. problem was the girl was trying to find thme in her book and couldnt. there were miata parts and yes even rx 7 parts but no protege parts besides the mp3 parts.
she was trying her hardest to get me to buy custom leather seats and even rims, but i wasnt falling for it, they wnted an arm and a leg for the rims and they were cheap z racing or something

hmmmm...sounds better than what I've heard. I heard that if they even see something other than stock they void it.

Yeah, I think I may just do that. I need to schedule an appointment anyway.

Thanks! (thumb)

mazda will probably never go as in depth on Mazdaspeed like dodge has done with Mopar - so Mazda branded intakes, etc are probably out of the question. We're selling the AEM intakes, and soon the Injen and K&N intakes for the 3 as they become available.

i just recently brought my 3 to the dealer. i have after market exhaust from the cat back, all custom, even took off the resignator. they said nothing to me! in fact i had everone commin to look at it. i think it all depends on the dealer!!!!!!!!!
