It can be if you don't know how to control it.Every car's characteristics are different and you must learn and master yours!
Now if you are haveing what I refer to as "VIOLENT" wheel hop associated with your spin then you might want to back out of it and try to get back in it very, very quickly so as not to lose too much time!
Any time you lift on the gas ,you WILL be losing time on your E.T.

Something odd happened last night.
I finaly hit 1000 miles in the P5 so I decided to take this discussion and see how I could get the car to take off from a stop.
I revved and didn't realize it but I dumped the clutch at 4000 rpm and NO WHEEL HOP! ZERO.

My MP3 would have been jumping like it had Hydrolics.

Either way, trying againas I got alot of tire spin I let off at 2500 rpm and the car losed power as the clutch came out and the RPMs dropped form the load. I guess 3250 might be the nest attempt.
 
Hit Raceway Park in Old Bridge, NJ to do my 1/4 mile for the first time in my MSP last night (bone stock, except for the picture of my girl in the dash, sound system, and tints):

1st time
Launch at 2,500, redlining all gears, finished just after shifting to 4th: 16.2@86mph

2nd time
Reduced Tire Pressure in front to 23.5 psi, launch at 5,000rpm's, redlining all gears, finished just after shifting to 4th: 16.0@85mph

I will post my 60', 1/8, etc.... times later when i get the slips from my car.... Anyone have any input??? I was reading up on the forum, and it seems like a drop to about 20psi in tire pressure and a 4,000rpm launch with some clutch slip (i didn't slip the clutch i just did a full release) might help me... shifting to 4th earlier might help get a faster mph at the end,,, i did notice that 3rd loses acceleration power earlier then the redline....
I saw some people said they got 15.3 from their MSP stock.... Suggestions from those people??? Maybe added weight of the tints is holding the car back.... :p
 
practice - don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise...nothing else will do anything to help you...just get seat time bro..
