I know this might be beating a dead horse, but is the Mazdaspeed CAI back up for production?

CAI for MS3

I've read several times on this forum that it's been discontinued, but there it is on the Mazdaspeed webpage. Does anyone know if it's been redesigned to function better?

Wait, ****. I didn't mean to post this in the FI section. Can a mod move this to the appropriate forum?

we'll since this hasn't moved yet......

I called the dealers today because i saw this on the site as well...as far as the 2 dealers closest to me know, they havent heard anything from Mazda saying that the CAI is back or any release date.

Not sure if the site is correct yet. I did think about trying it to see what happened though.

Im not sure if they update that website or what the deal is. Everytime i go to the mazdaspeed website it says the CAI is for sale but it's still discontinued. Not sure why mazda discontinued. They probably didnt want to warranty anyone with it anymore.

The mazdaspeed intake is the same as the AEM intake. Lots of people have the mazdaspeed intake and the AEM (both same thing) and haven't had problems. I personally dont think mazda will release an other for a while.

335 bucks lol. Do yourself a favor and just get an aftermarket one. Save you at least 100 bucks and worth the 20 minutes it takes to install / remove.

MSCAI causes cel because of the lack of air straigthener. I'm sure they wouldn't start reselling it unless they are including the air straigthener now.

lol....dealer told me only CEL problems were in extreme cold weather when i asked. screwed all of us out of it.

the speed3 intake is 399 whenever they bring it out again. 335 is for the normal 3.

checked site right not and its down. hopefully updating.
(eekdance)

I was told by a dealer that the new one is out and he could get it. And that it was a redesign because the first one was low and got wet so this new one will sit higher up. It's a dealership in Brandon,FL which is far from Jacksonville but if you wanna just call I'll get you the guys number.

Well $400 is what most were willing to pay until more aftermarket solutions came around. I doubt they considered that or are willing to adjust per the existing market values of intakes.

What I like is the carb #. Show me another intake w/ a carb #. It makes a difference in states like CA. Cops can't say anything.

That dealer is an idiot and talking out of his posterior orifice.

Not including installation cost ROLMFAO!!!!! It's really like $500 + if you want it covered under Mazda's green warranty plan. This doesn't cover hydrolock.

Or anything, for that matter, except a replacement. At least by its own written terms. Unofficially, it's whatever your dealer and/or Mazda say it is.
