all cars are different..some have strengths, some dont .... and everyone has their tastes ... i always say give respect where its due .... i used to hate mazda's .... but i think the way the new cars have been coming out, they getting pretty nice .... love the new designs ... almost following the footsteps of nissan ..... i personally love honda's, (mainly the EK hatches) and the nissan 240 <-- think, RB25DET yuummmmmmmmm

i hate how people just generalize the honda's and bash them .. even though, in the case of the honda, i can see why ..... but i just hate the people who just think that just cuz its a honda, that its nothing good and you know .....

i was never a neon fan, but man, those cars can rip it up .....

and ya, as spacemonkey says..its not all about straight line ..... 1/4 mile is fun, but after about 10 times? yuck ... i love street racing, so to speak ... well, not actually, as it can put lives in danger when people get stupid...but the general idea ... takes more skill, cuz its not all about going straight .....

I just get mad when people ride off your car as slow just cuz it doesnt have 500hp or cant run the 1/4 mile in 12 sec? WTF? is that what a car does? made to go in a straight line only? 500hp wouldnt that result in lost in traction? Unless you are a very good driver? Not to mention vipers, vetts, Ferraris and lambos earn those horses...they have break, chasis and everything else to back up that power.

Respectfully the SRT-4 is a fantastic car for a damn good price and obviously its strength is in straight line with decent hadleing...but no need to ride it off as a super car like most SRT-4 drivers say..every car has its weakness if not its a super car. I admit the MSP has its problem and I admit its a protege...but it aint a bad car at all. Im not close minded and can accept flaws and failures of my MSP. Yes it has weak rods and yes it has a cheap LSD...but its amazing around corners...so amazing that atlot of times It dosent even feel like the car is FWD...its just glides into those corners. Its a good car and so what if it only runs 14s...overall balance makes up for the lack of power. You can not buy a perfect car for $20K...you can if you had $500,000 but not at your local dodge dealer or Mazda.

Yeah a SRT-4 is faster then a WRX...but WRX is AWD.

Believe it...theres no other car that can cause so much controversy and anger then S-R-T-4. You think its only MSPeeders...majority of SRT-4 guys dont even browse this forum. Try mentioning the majic word "SRT-4" in a WRX, Honda, EVO, domestic or VW forum...then you wish it was at this site. The s*** talking that goes on here MSP or SRT-4 is nowhere near the s*** talking I have seen on other forums. IF you need proof go to www.SRTforums.com its better now but I can gladly show you my very 1st post and how I got riped for putting "Saving up for RX-7" in my signature. Back then your opinion didnt count unless you drove a SRT-4 or a 12 sec car. Being called a n00b has never been so harsh...very 1st post on that forum. Its a hell lot better now...atleast I can talk and have a intelligent conversation on that forum. And dont even get me started on some of these owners.

s*** talking ends here...im gonna throw in the towel mainly because I do like the car (SRT-4) but I also like my MSP too...and neither of them are perfect. But if I see a SRT-4 on here talking s*** im gonna fire back. I have nothing but the upmost respect for that car and reguardless of what we all think, dodge did a pretty good job. If I had to choose between the 2...neither I would go for a Enzo, Mercellago or Bugatti EB110....lol...european all the way!

I wasn't bashing them, just stating what happend. FWIW, I've owned 2 ACR Neons and loved them both. (until they barffed head gaskets)

Just seemed really weird that the wheel came off, and that it was the second time it's happened to him. And all the damage it did when it came off. And that Dodge was willing to overnight all the parts for 8am delivery. Also people saw him re-torquing the lugnuts before the run so they couldn't have been THAT loose -- it was only a fifty second course.
