Its my last AWR part that I haven't been able to install... I just can't do it, can't get that harness away... haven't even tried to get to the real bolts obviously.

Anyone in the Dayton or Cincinnati area that has experience getting that punk ass thing in would be more than welcome around here. I really could use it in for autocross. I just don't know why I can't get it.

Me dumb maybe? (silly) (gun)

I think it's God's way of telling you that you should buy a set of mine instead. :)

I can do it ...But its a pain in the A$$!
Let me know what you want to do.
Matt

I had mine done in less than 45mins.....both front and rear. Of course I used a air hammer with a long chisel and broke the bottom stud off the firewall.......is that considered cheating??

HELL YEAH!
I fought with that nut for like 2 hrs out of the three it took to install the motor mount...I know how to do it now though!
Matt(wink)

What can I say....I've dealt with that damn nut before, I wasn't gonna let it beat me on my own car. lol

hey if you get a long handle 10" mm wrench you can get that bottom bolt on the plastic harness. chrck this out:

1. make sure the wrench is at least 6in long.
2. underneath the car looking fwd find the red front sway
3. where the back motor mount is look directly up tward the backside of the mount you can see the mount studs.
4. the box end of the wrench curved toward the back you should be able th reach the nut

I was under there for an hour trying to do it that way... an hour over top trying to to do it a different way... then 30 minutes hitting my engine block with a breaker bar in anger.

Matt, if you think you can help me get it done I'm all for it. PM me and maybe we can set something up.

when my friend installed my act clutch since he had the tanny out he added the mount and still said it was a pain in the ass but hey whatever works

Cam2.......mmmmmm I love the smell of my Scamp running Cam2..

It's a royal pain in the ass, but the bottom bolt that is holding the black wiring harness can be readched by using a 1/4" drive 10mm deep throat socket and a 1/4" drive socket wrench. It's a royal pain, not easy, but it can be done. After I got that black plastic piece out of the way I cut that bottom stud off at the firewall with a dremel and the plastic wiring harness retaining thingy is now held to the firewall with only the top stud, hasn't seemed to hurt it.
