So I want to buy an RX-7...

RX7_HKS.JPG

Look on the bottom that car has that "lip on it" its just to stop the bumper from being scraped

I follow you, it's just on the spec sheet I posted it looks like the TII has the same lip. I also thought the Odura lip was a bit different - it had 'diffuser' holes like the DG lip for the Protege.

With that lip you posted you have to cut out the center section of the lower bumper otherwise, at least to me, it looks dumb

Yeah, the more I think about it (and look at that white RX-7) the more I think I might just leave the exterior stock (like I did with my P5). I was just looking around to see if there were any good-looking lip kits out there. Corksport has a few but of course they're all a little 'out there'. Oh well, I good drop, some wide 16 inch wheels and some fat tires and I should be good.

Yeah this is a car that I have seen stock and kitted and yet both look awesome. A simple lip, cs sideskirts, and the cs rear bumper strakes are all you need for a basic setup if you want something slightly beyond stock.

Btw what meth kit do you have magnum I have been thinking about a non boost actuated meth kit as I think it would really help the longevity of the engine.

I have a Labonte Motorsports boost activated one because I was going to put it on the P5. However, I was looking through their website and they have a controller that works off of MAF signal, not MAP sensor so I've been thinking about picking that up.
Go with the Mazdaspeed kit.. SUPER SEXY!
Got any links? I don't think I've seen a Mazdaspeed kit for the S5 RX-7.

I know it exsists and is super rare (what older mazdaspeed parts arent?) i believe i have seen a picture before but have no idea were to find it.

My body kit vote is way out there but for some reason i like it, minus the rear bumper which i would replace with the CS rear bumper pieces. BN Sports kit:

the headlights are a little too much for me on that kit. i like lenses or pop-ups on the FC's, but not a combination of the two.

i am a little too simple for most of the FC body kits. i like the way it looks with stock clip and subtle downforcers.

That's my favorite part of that kit (I hate sleepy eyes damn ricers ruined that look) you can run the headlights without the ftp's or fliping them up.

The GP Sports kit isn't that bad, but I've seen it go both ways. Some have looked really good, but some have looked REALLY bad! The problem with that kit is that I was reading that it is really hard to get an authentic kit - that most are knock-offs being sold as the real thing (in other words, you get ripped off). I'm about as anti-drift as you can be so just about anything associated with that scene turns me off. A subtle lip kit would be perfect; I just haven't been able to find anything I like other than the lip and side skirts I posted up earlier. I'm 50/50 on the headlights though. I've never owned a car with flip-up headlights so that's kind of neat but the open projectors are cool just because they're something different. I just haven't been able to find a kit like that other than the RE one and I'm not paying that much for a kit. Another kit I saw looks pretty similar to the GP Sports - I found it on RHDJapan. I think it's called something stupid like 'Sexy Style' but it's actually not a bad looking kit.

The fiance' is going to go take a look at the car tomorrow at noon. I'm hoping for some good news. I was also able to find another N/A S5. This one is a white '91 coupe (they didn't have different trims in '91, right?) but it has a blue interior (yuck!) and is in Austin, TX. It looks pretty good and white is damn sexy but the distance and blue interior are turning me away. Such as shame there are only like four S5 coupes for sale in the entire country right now.

As far as I know the only projectors you will find are going to be the re ones so I would stick with the flip ups. If you get tired of them flipping up you can just shoot them through the ftp's and run hid's.

As for the front lip have you check out the mazdaspeed replica lips. They actually look really good imo.

stay with the popups' don't ruin the car with sleepy's or stay downs/projectors)

Its just not worth losing that added bonus of having the RX7.. back in the day that was the way of old school Japanese cars.. pop ups FTMFW!

another kit I like is the Bomex kit
