So i thought i was ONE OF A KIND

Everyone calm down. Welcome to the site. A multitude of info is now at your disposal. Please feel free to use the search function to aid you.

Seriously, I was just trying to help. Your last few posts have been very easy to understand, and I appreciate that.

Your car looks good. I like the P5/MP3 yellow so much more than the MSP yellow. Where'd you get the yellow shift boot? It's hard to tell from the pics if it matches well.

Anyway, as far as mods and uniqueness go, I'd say go with what you like. If you have a goal for your car (import shows, car audio comps., autocross, drag, etc.) mod towards that end. These cars have enormous potential in the realm of handling, but less in the area of power. A set of Tokico Blue struts (stock on MSP and MP3) with a set of good springs will lower the car and tighten up the handling. A thicker rear swaybar will also help a ton with overcoming the inherant limitations of FWD.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. Don't type like you're on MSN, and noone will laugh at you.

I know how you feel man, there is less than a handful of P5's in my city & I've got the only yellow one, which really does make me feel unique. Atleast untill I see the yellow stangs and civics around, but they're rarity too.

Also, Rhean, whats the tint % you got on your 5?

I can understand your writing and I wouldn't criticize you for how you write. The problem is if you're here one day asking for help... you might not receive a lot of response from the right peeps cuz there will be a lot of 'em here who won't get what you're asking for (you want to make sure EVERYONE can understand your needs). I have a friend who likes to type like that on her cell phone, it's okay on a cell phone... but on a forum board it's a bit different environment. :-)

Welcome with your unique yellow ride, yo! hehe.

exactly... I got a headache reading that huge run-on sentance he had in the begining

Wow... (flame2)

Great welcome... (lol2)

Regardless welcome to the boards, check out the How to Thread for starters... and don't worry about the guys you just gotta have a sence of humor around here...

Sheeze he apologized, and explained that he is use to conversating on msn, not in a forum based community. Grow up.

Anyway welcome to the forums. And to be unique I would drop it, and put some gunmetal or black rims on.

what up mang. don't sweat these fools, they're all alright. good story about rollin' with 3 P5s...yellow ones, too. there's an assload of info on this website, and plenty of people who can make your P5 pretty damn unique. just read up

FWIW, my friend has megan racing springs on his P5, and they really didn't take it WAY low, although the ride is very stiff. They've got real high springs rates, and they say that they drop it 2" all around, but it definitely seems higher than other cars i've seen with a 2" drop. Maybe those would be a possibility. Theres also a 'spring buyers guide' thread on here (just do a search for it), with lots of info on drop height and spring rate.

I live where roads are normally decent, but to me driving a lowered car isn't a BIG problem, just something you have to get used to (keep in mind though that i'm only on stock msp springs, which barely put it lower than a P5, lol. Just speaking from observations of freinds and whatnot).

And to everyone else.... stop being asses, her later posts were much easier to understand. You've made your point, lol, so lets quit jacking her thread.

Ok....everyone...stop being friggin children...she appologized so just quit... If you're going to continue to make comments on what he said it will get deleted....

everyone grow up...

Life police, life police! 911! We've got non-authorized use of butchered english in progress! (just like in every other thread on here!) Help, please help! Welcome to the forums. Type how you want! The only slight error was assuming there weren't more yellow P5s around.

But wait... how do we know this is a "she"? Is it because the forum name or the first post??? I was thinking it was a teenage boy or something???? (ugh)

No offense, I must not be with the times or something. I don't know any other girls that talk like that and there's no info on the profile to tell me otherwise.

*note to self... keep son awayyyyy from AIM and MSN*

Wow... Ok so now we have switched from my gramatical errors to my "Sex profile"... haha i have to say you guys are all hilarious.... Ok to answer your questions... I am first of all not a girl, and not a teenager. Now that we have cleared that up.. So you guys think we can get off Me for a bit and get back to the main point of this thread which is "MY CAR"
Thanks i would really appreciate it..

Hey, glad to see we didn't run you off. Sorry I was a pompous ass. I guess I was grumpy that night. Thanks for writing like a grown-up, you're much easier to read now.

As for your car. The Eibach pro-kit springs give a nice drop and a decent ride. As far as lowering/winter driving, it all depends on what you're willing to tolerate. I would advise against going too big with your wheels though, as large wheels mean smaller sidewalls on the tires, and a great chance of destroying your rims and tires when pothole season comes around.

Yea, the yellow shift boot does matches with the interior but i am thinkin of changing the steering wheel and puttin a yellow and black momo steering wheel. I got the shift boot at an asian car shop for 15 bucks... Although now I am thinking of switching it for the momo style one. I think that one(momo style) is about 50... but its way better quality.

There's a vendor on here that does custom shifter and e-brake boots. From what I've heard, they do good work. I'll see if I can find you the link.

Edit: Here it is.

Also, get a short-shifter. There's much debate as to which one is best, but generally I think they're the single best thing you can do to improve your driving experience with the Protege.

Hey thanks for the help. See i was thinking about the short shifter but it was either that or the intake. I am thinking first i would do the intake, then the exhaust system. From there i would move on to the interior( Steering Wheel, Short-shifter and bucket seats)

Hey, looks like you're off to a good start. I thought that Canadian market P5s came with the black painted headlamps. It doesn't look like yours is but if not, that is a cheap mod that just takes a little time. You could do the JDM tail lights. Those should set you off a bit from local P5s. Of course I don't know Canadian laws on that either. Also, IMO black wheels with a polished lip look great on a yellow car. You could go for a set of 17" or 18" depending on how important ride and performance are to you. Then you could keep your stock wheels for winter and put some winter or all season tires on them. Also, I second the Eiback Pro Kits on the springs. They are the perfect drop on the P5 IMO and a good set of Tokicos to go with them shouldn't do you wrong.

There is a wealth of information in every section of these forums and the for sale threads can save you cash......well I guess if you can restrict yourself. Don't forget to check out the fitment recipe for wheels in that section of the forum. It might save you a headache.

Still, in the end I am sure you will come up with something unique on your own. Good luck.

If you are going to be driving in the winter one of the most important things you can do is GET RID OF THE STOCK DUNLOP TIRES. Although from the one picture it looks like they are gone. I drive mine all winter and I have the Eibach Pro-Kit springs on. It's not bad, mainly because I have some Blizzak tires on there as well. Do yourself a favor, go get some winter specific tires. You will appreciate them when the first snow flies. I throw on my black steel wheels and some Blizzak WS-50's and I couldn't be happier. It's not a 4 x 4 by any means but it gets the job done just fine.
