Seriously, I was just trying to help. Your last few posts have been very easy to understand, and I appreciate that.
Your car looks good. I like the P5/MP3 yellow so much more than the MSP yellow. Where'd you get the yellow shift boot? It's hard to tell from the pics if it matches well.
Anyway, as far as mods and uniqueness go, I'd say go with what you like. If you have a goal for your car (import shows, car audio comps., autocross, drag, etc.) mod towards that end. These cars have enormous potential in the realm of handling, but less in the area of power. A set of Tokico Blue struts (stock on MSP and MP3) with a set of good springs will lower the car and tighten up the handling. A thicker rear swaybar will also help a ton with overcoming the inherant limitations of FWD.

I know how you feel man, there is less than a handful of P5's in my city & I've got the only yellow one, which really does make me feel unique. Atleast untill I see the yellow stangs and civics around, but they're rarity too.

FWIW, my friend has megan racing springs on his P5, and they really didn't take it WAY low, although the ride is very stiff. They've got real high springs rates, and they say that they drop it 2" all around, but it definitely seems higher than other cars i've seen with a 2" drop. Maybe those would be a possibility. Theres also a 'spring buyers guide' thread on here (just do a search for it), with lots of info on drop height and spring rate.
I live where roads are normally decent, but to me driving a lowered car isn't a BIG problem, just something you have to get used to (keep in mind though that i'm only on stock msp springs, which barely put it lower than a P5, lol. Just speaking from observations of freinds and whatnot).

As for your car. The Eibach pro-kit springs give a nice drop and a decent ride. As far as lowering/winter driving, it all depends on what you're willing to tolerate. I would advise against going too big with your wheels though, as large wheels mean smaller sidewalls on the tires, and a great chance of destroying your rims and tires when pothole season comes around.

There's a vendor on here that does custom shifter and e-brake boots. From what I've heard, they do good work. I'll see if I can find you the link.

Also, get a short-shifter. There's much debate as to which one is best, but generally I think they're the single best thing you can do to improve your driving experience with the Protege.

Hey, looks like you're off to a good start. I thought that Canadian market P5s came with the black painted headlamps. It doesn't look like yours is but if not, that is a cheap mod that just takes a little time. You could do the JDM tail lights. Those should set you off a bit from local P5s. Of course I don't know Canadian laws on that either. Also, IMO black wheels with a polished lip look great on a yellow car. You could go for a set of 17" or 18" depending on how important ride and performance are to you. Then you could keep your stock wheels for winter and put some winter or all season tires on them. Also, I second the Eiback Pro Kits on the springs. They are the perfect drop on the P5 IMO and a good set of Tokicos to go with them shouldn't do you wrong.
There is a wealth of information in every section of these forums and the for sale threads can save you cash......well I guess if you can restrict yourself. Don't forget to check out the fitment recipe for wheels in that section of the forum. It might save you a headache.

If you are going to be driving in the winter one of the most important things you can do is GET RID OF THE STOCK DUNLOP TIRES. Although from the one picture it looks like they are gone. I drive mine all winter and I have the Eibach Pro-Kit springs on. It's not bad, mainly because I have some Blizzak tires on there as well. Do yourself a favor, go get some winter specific tires. You will appreciate them when the first snow flies. I throw on my black steel wheels and some Blizzak WS-50's and I couldn't be happier. It's not a 4 x 4 by any means but it gets the job done just fine.
