So I saw this dude looking at my car as I was going home from the Mazda Rev It Up Tou

Okay....
Let's get the testosterone under control...
The SEMA P5 show car had a Garrett GT28R Turbo in it.
You may remember, v. cute blonde, yellow car, carbon fiber hood?

The place in Colorado was Flying Miata (Grand Junction)
They used to build Protege stuff, but the demand just wasn't that strong, and the 3 is replacing it anyways..there's a 2.0 turbo kit for sale in Phoenix in the Arizona Region SCCA Classifieds.

Just about any aftermarket turbo is stronger than factory.
Factory has to tune for the clueless, bad gas, poor maintenance and so on.
When the clueless break something, it's never their fault.

Dealers aren't my favorite place, and there is no profit in dealers installing stuff. You guys can b**** about which mag is the most rice, but at least at some point, you might see a how-to article and have a shot and learning how to do this stuff for yourselves. Do it yourself and you save the $75 per hour labor...you can buy a lot of stuff for just a couple hours of labor.

FWIW, When the warranty claim is denied, it's denied by Mazda, not the dealers.

So picture this, you spend a couple of days on a car, the car leaves, something unrelated breaks, customer comes back, you do the repair, Mazda denies the claim, you as a business person are out all the time and money, and you make an enemy of the person you were trying to do a favor for.

Truth....a certain MSP driver (Phoenix, Arizona) cranks 15psi boost on his 7psi car, brags about his kills on this and other forums, puts a hole through both sides of the block you can stick an arm through and tries to get a warranty claim.

When it's denied...it's Mazda's fault, the dealers fault..but we all pay for bonehead moves like that.

P.S. PeeWee was a child molesting POS that cried like a little girl when he was busted with his weenie in hand.

Celebrity does not equal character...it equals Character disorder.....

I went to my dealer that is becoming a mazdaspeed dealer. There are turbo kits for the P5 that mazda sells, the dealer installs them, but it does void the warranty. On the other hand, the dealer does install other performance parts and covers them under warranty as long as they have nothing to do with the internals of the engine. My dealer is letting me do exhaust, intake, sparks, (and probably springs) without voiding the warranty. I think it depends a lot on the dealer for this, the other dealer in town is extremely anal about mods and will void your warranty at every possible opportunity.

ok, 14 post psycho.....we were talking about the forum member paul reubens, not the actual pee-wee herman

lol 14 post psycho, i liked that one, and even about the real peewee he was wrong..he wasnt molesting kids, he was beating one off in an adult movie theatre....i mean what the hell do you go there for? just because he was caught and he was a celebrity it is a big deal....Just a reminder to the kids to watch their porn in their own homes and not theatres =)

he is a funny guy in most new movies anyway.

back on topic....I have heard of dealerships offering turbo kits and installing them, some will keep your warrenty and some wont, it depends on the dealer(like many have said and is most important) the kit they are distributing and so forth.
