i was leaving my driveway today, and the conditions are wet, its been raining all day. there is a couple leaves on the ground but i heard an extremely loud screech coming from my left driver side wheel/rotor. like unbearably loud screech. i stopped turned the wheel left a little heard it, and to the right a little heard it, then pulled out of my driveway and it went away. wtf could this be? a leaf? something extremely wrong?

Perhaps a belt? I know cars can do that when turning. Probably a power steering belt or whatever, not sure what the setup of the MS3 is.

edit: I'm reading that correctly now, and you said you were moving forward. It still could be a belt though.

well...if you were moving, and it was wet out, coulda just been your brakes.

but if your belt is a little loose, the extra effort needed by the power steering pump while you're turning the wheels at slow speeds might create the noise. i would turn my AC on while the car was sitting to see if it really is the belt. if it doesnt squeal like it did, then your power steering pump might be seizing

well the only reason im concered is because my friends 08.5 speed hear somewhat of the same noise a high pitch screech from the same wheel and i guess his bearing locked up and he ending up flipping his speed. the whole heel and rotor came off the car.
