so i just got my new magnaflow exhaust

so i just got my new magnaflow exhaust put on my car, and had them take out the resonator and cat. and in my personal opinion its a little loud and i dont really like the way it sounds when im in higher RPMs, its a little to ricey for me. if i had the cat OR the resonator put back on would that tone it down a bit? and if so which one should i do?

if i cant get it to sound the way i want i think i might sell it if anyone is interested

Nobody seemed to get back to you, but yes, if you put the resonator back in, it should tone it down a bit. I'm in the same boat. I have a Mazdaspeed exhaust, but the actual muffler part of it went after a few years (which I'm not happy about)... and so I replaced the muffler only with a Magnaflow. Well, now it is louder than my old exhaust, so I'm thinking of throwing a resonator on to help mellow out the sound while not losing the performance. Resonators can be picked up on the cheap too.
