My P5 doesn't like to shift into the back gears (2-4-R).

Has anyone seen this? Did the motormounts even do this? Is it just a gigantic coincidence? Am I crazy?

I am starting to not like my P5 at all, i loved it soooo much until recently. Please help me love my car again if you can,

Thanks

David

well, then I guess my P5 is just a POS and i'll have to put the stock mounts back on and sell it as fast as possible.

thanks for all the help...

Which ones and which durometer? Is it possible that you put them on crooked? I have not heard of this problem ever on this forum, so it's gotta be something about how the mounts were installed. You're absolutely sure the transmission issue came right after installing the mounts? Or was there a time it was ok?

the hard ones.

A Mazda dealer put them in. They adjusted them today, again. Same problems.

And it started feeling a little dodgy shifting wise 1 days after, and then 2 days later the problem hit hard.

oi vey. Call AWR ofcourse, they haven't ever heard of this happening.

Oh well, thanks for the serious response :P

maybe you are just having a tranny issue.....oh wait i figured out the problem, you've got an auto tranny so you can't actually shift into the back gears..JK. Get the stealership to check it out. are you under warranty?

Which mounts did you install? When you mentioned the hard one, did you mean the 90 durometer one? Did you install the front/rear or front/rear/sides or front? Again, as amany people mentioned, this is the first time anyone ever had this problem on this board concerning the mounts.

Also, good luck getting your tranny or any powertrain parts warrantied after getting your dealership to install these parts.

I'll bet the dealer F'd up the shift linkage. My car got much easier to shift with the motor mounts

i have the car in the air now, an d with the weight off the wheels everything seems to shift fine. doesn't that mae it fun to track down a problem.

I am beginning to think maybe its an internal trans problem.

sounds like a trans problem

my fear is that now that I have aftermarket motormounts i'll get denied for warranty work on tranny. I certainly can not afford to fix the tranny.

I am not sure how the heck they "adjusted" them. There is no adjusting to be made on them. Take it to a good mechanic to check it out. They messed something up.

My radiator has a hole and my brake lights don't work now.

The 2 things are connected, dumb ass.

That is why the dealership, mechanics, people that have done motorswaps in other cars, all agreed with me that is could be the problem.

So go add some neon or something to your POS and shut the hell up.

Jesus, this is the worst car forum since neons.org.

Have you at least gone and checked out the stuff from the decent posts? The dealer ****** something up with the shift linkage or something, no adjustments can be made to the mounts, other than tightening them.
