so i installed a bomz intake about 6 months ago or so and what i didnt realize was that the fitment wasnt as good as i thought it would be.

Well after 6 months of the engine moving slightly back when i shift into drive, a hole developed from it hitting one of the stationary objects in the engine (i have no idea what the part is. My uncle and i spent 4 hours patching the hole up with this stuff i now call miracle tape, and a piece of plumbing rubber that is strapped there to cushion any further contact.

In all, we had to cut the pipe about a quarter of an inch and had to do some pulling and tugging to get everything to fit on top of doing a bunch of other s***. Now, I am stuck with a patched up pipe. Here are the pictures so you can see for yourself. Sorry the second pic is blurry i was riding in a car to Lowe's.

That mystery rubbing part is probably called the brake master cylinder if your talking about the bend nearest the throttle body. Pics are a no show.

Yup, that's where they all hit the brake master cylinder.

Our engines move so much, it's difficult to tell while installing, how much clearance you'll need.

Yeah I see them, bummer bro just installed mine today to.. hopefully that doesnt happen soon

If you cut a 1/2 an inch of the pipe where it goes into the intake it will clear the brake master cylinder no problem

you're hitting the master cylinder. generally, cutting a piece off of the piece that goes to the throttle body, or just plain tweaking the fitment, will fix that
