I know that some of you have had problems with your Speed6 and smoking issues, was wondering if a new turbo is the solution or if there were other issues involved.
I have had my car in a half dozen times to the dealer complaining of turbo hesitation and or intermittent turbo function. Had the car reflashed a bunch of times now, new O2 sensor and now I am still having the same problems but I am putting up huge clouds of smoke on occasion. In the last week or so it has happened when taking off from a stop with just casual acceleration, but on the way to work this morning it happened while hitting the accelerator at highway speed. I hit the gas, the car bogged down and then poof, smoke and finally acceleration.
I have about had it with this car. I hope Mazda makes it right. I am now out of manufacturer warranty, but took the car in for the hesitation about 2K miles ago while under warranty, never really fully resolved. I have the 100K Mazda extended total care warranty, dealer says it should be covered.
