smic power gains

Thats my SMIC!!

For what it is worth, I believe when/if you switch to Hard Pipes like TH Aluminum ones you will notice a difference. The stock MSP pipes suck, they leak, they expand, I installed my SMIC at the same time as HPipes and a CAI and it was a large difference. Then upgrading to the iON TB Exhaust the difference was monstrous.

hazeXban - what's up man, thanks for the smic, and polishing it up for me, definitely woth it. how'd the wedding go? after the corksport exhaust gets here the next purchase will be some hardpipes and an ss afc. (psc1)

i see some th hardpipes on the for sale forum but i think they're spoken for, very tempting though.

yeah, i installed the ETS smic, which i believe is the same as the custom MSP smic. i have that, and a 2.5" catback exhaust. i dont feel that much of a difference so far. ive already ordered the weapon R hardpipe kit. hopefully when those go in, i'll see a difference.

Just adding a catback isnt going to make a difference you can feel.. You need to get rid of the stock cats and get at least a 2.5" downpipe..

Turbo pressure goes up by 1/2-1psi after my Custom SMIC installation.
That's the gain you get really and of course no heat soak.
You really notice it if you have an open exhaust. Not so much if it's stock.

If the stock exhaust is removed for lets say a catless midpipe and vibrant exhaust wouldnt that cause problems for when you try to get the car smogged?

(iagree) even just the mid-pipe will do a really good job.

A good cheap alternative is to hollow the cats. I did it and immediatly noticed a difference. there is a CEL fix floatin around here so u wont get a light, i did it and it works great. Its the poor mans mid-pipe!
Also i wouldnt waste money on a 2.5" downpipe, just go for the 3" if u have the money.
