Smashed my MP3

Just when I was happy, I slid and wacked a curb going about 20mph this morning. Now my rim is pushed in and busted my front clip and side skirt and did numerous amounts of damage to right side of vehicle.

So now I am really Bummed out.

Plus I wont have it back for a couple weeks



Now I know how the rest of you felt after getting car jacked up....

man what have you been doing to that thing to have it doing all those problems you list. How can your struts be shot. I have 28,000 on mine and they're doin great. Never hear a knock, no electrical problems and no blue smoke. Go take that thing back and get it fixed under warranty. Atleast the knock, smoke and electrical crap.

And protege5kid, I can't believe that the jeep liberty takes precidence over the denali. Or won't any other cars fit with that in there?

hey mrMp3...know how you feel man..im working on 3 weeks on friday and i finally get mine back...its about damn time...i had a chick run a red light and hit me tho. but i dont know why its going to take 2 weeks to get that fixed...mine has taken soooo long cause the right front quarter panel and some suspension parts were on national backorder...but they are available now so i hope you dont have any delays on that stuff...also take some pics if you dont mind. i would like to see how badly it is damaged from a 20mph impact. but hang in there bud.

This is it but they took off wheel and put on spare to roll it in garage.

Notice that the wheel is supposed to be in the center of car.

It happened to me before on the rear wheel, backing the car, but it wast that bad, fixed with an alignment.

I hope so, I know my bumper is cracked, my side skirt is shot, and The one guy was saying that it looks very expensive? But I have a $500 ded. so I just want it done right? No cheap parts put in....

Yes I did the exact samething, but I was going a bit faster than you were. I ended up having to replace my lower control arm bar, swaybar end link and I just recently bought a new wheel. I picked up the lower control arm bar from a wrecked 99 protege sedan $95 and I bought the endlink from the dealership for $15. I had my car up and running in about 2 days thanks to Wheelguru from Automotive R &D and my soon to be loving girlfriend who drove me around for those couple of days. Goodluck, hopefully your fix will be as easy as mine. I put the parts on myself and had the car re-aligned at a import shop.

Well My dealer came and towed it to there dealership yesterday.

I told them about the clutch chatter and clunking noise. They said they would fix that while they had the car anyway. And I told them about service bulletins on those 2 items as well.

Damage so far is:
lower control arm busted
busted axle
bent strut
bent spring
bent rim
slashed tire
broke foglight
cracked front bumper
inner fender plastic gone
side sill getting replaced
4 wheel alignment/balancing
strut tower? maybe?
and maybe a new rotor/ caliper/hub assembly?

so I had full coverage so only cost me $500 out of pocket and about 1 week to 2 weeks for all.

I will keep you guys up to date.

Man you got it easy, My first mp3 I took through a telephone pole(nov2001) at around 50-80mph, I dont remember much but trust me when I say I was lucky not only was I not injuried much (except the concusion) but I actually found another mp3(jan 2002) after I f***ed my first one.

Though I am sorry to hear about your mishapp!!!

God I love this car, thank god or somebody that I found another one.

wow, ya much worse than mine, and i just got it back from dealer and gave it a big kiss. man our cars handle great
