It sounds like you are asking if you should just wait and have the muffler shop do both your cat-back exhaust and the test pipe. I would say if the muffler shop is willing to remove a catalytic converter without protesting, go for it.

However, at the end of your post it sounds like you're asking if they should weld the test pipe to the cat-back exhaust. If that is what you are asking, I say absolutely not. Under no circumstances do you want to weld anything in-line where your catalytic converter should go. It would cost you more money than it's worth trying to pass emissions down the road.

I was asking if i should have the shop install the Cat-back ( weld it and also use the old gasket since i didn't get it). and i was venting about the test pipe cause i didn't get the hard wear and gasket

Also to anyone who has the magnaflow cat-back are the logo on the tips to be in line with the mufflers so its all straight or off center?

SLS stated they included hardware in the box, which i have told them they did not. they are going to be sending another hardware bag. if you want to message me with the address of your exhaust shop i can have them send it there for you.

i had problems with the sls pipe ... Didnt fit and had to take it to a muffler shop to get flaired more ..... And had to buy nuts and bolts ... Works good after i fixed all the problems ... But thats not what i paid for .. Just my input ... Good luck !!!!!

I had similar problems as jracer with the SLS test pipe. Slip-joint end needed to be flared a bit and I had to find some mounting hardware. In the end, it wasn't really much trouble because I had the stuff lying around to do it. But I guess when it is described as a direct bolt-on it's surprising to have to do that.

Hey Blenderclould im just going to take it to a shop have them put the test pipe and the magnaflow CB in. Just hope they have hardwear or im going to a part store.

Well an up date i got the magnaflow exhaust and test pipe installed. saw a little white smoke at first start up and again with i was idleing at 7/11 with A/C on. how thats normal and not the turbo. If anyone can let me know thanks.

A little bit of smoke when you first install new exhaust pieces is normal. The inside of the pipes will have other types of residue on them that will burn off over the first few hundred miles.

thats what i thought i knew i whould get a smell but everyone talks about the deadly smoke from the turbo so wasn't use my other car i had an exhaust on it but didn't smoke but thanks again.
