Sleeper MS3

I am planning on doing a clean black on black build with my MS3. My plan is basically to black out any and everything inside the engine bay and out. My first item is the FMIC. I talked to Hector at Exhaust Depot and he said to use a black radiator paint for the core and black wrinkle paint for the tubing. Will the black wrinkle paint hold up well with the heat under the hood? I also want to black out the Hotchkis RSB, would wrinkle paint work there or would it be better to powder coat it? And on that note what about springs? Also any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I'm a new member and this is my first post... Even though i've been surfing these forums for weeks.

I dont know about painting the springs, with all the motion they encounter it would probably flake off fairly fast, especially powdercoat. As for the sway bar, I imagine you could sand it lightly then do a primer and spray paint to cover it good. But nobody is going to see the sway anyways. I painted my radiator with high temp flat black paint and it has worked out fine so far, I imagine you could do your IC and piping with that. Hope that helps.

i wouldn't really bother with springs. but the FMIC is worthwhile for a murdered out car.

sway bar = yes, it's possible to see it, but i'm not sure if it's worth it. not to mention that rocks etc. under the car could destroy the paint job.

If you want black wrinkle paint that will withstand the heat, go to a Harley stealership. I have had it on the cases for my bike for about 4 years now. Holds up pretty well.

However, prep has to be spot on or you will be doing it again.
