Skyactiv only runs at 80celcius?

It'd be nice if you can do some sort of test on this since you're good at it with all the equipments to settle this for us all. But you may not have factory ECU map anymore with your turbo mod so may be Unobtanium is willing to give it a try?

Yea i dont have the factory map on, and I'm tuned on 93. But for $12 anyone with android can easily confirm what works in their environment. Really that's the best way, assuming the driver actually notices a power loss, and is *interested*/cares enough to want to maximize output in a given condition. That way you can decide (and SEE) for yourself if under your conditions 93 would be beneficial. wouldn't say "average" because driving styles, and environments differ everywhere. Driving at sea level and driving at 3000ft or more is not the same. Manifold pressure decreases from about 30inhg at sea-level by 1" per 1000 ft. The temp and humidity can increase these numbers easily. 500msl around here is easily equivalent to 1500ft msl, and over 2500 in high summer. So "average" is very vague. It becomes apparent once you factor in the terrain, i.e hill country. Even here in San Antonio the highways have lots of grades. Grades = engine load, + heat + density altitide, and extra weight the car has in payload, and if traffic is dense that means more likely to be in/transiting lower gears (more engine load, and typically higher IAT) which are all negative factors influencing a timing pull.

Are you serious? You are going to critique me over 1 HP?

You are quite the character.

Ironically, both of your statements are factually correct.

Actually it does prove a lot of things. Of course you slam the guy without any valid proof. Attack the messenger and then discredit his data without proof.

The data proved that higher octane fuel will be beneficial on a 13:1 compression engine. It won't ever see over 185HP but running 87 octane under certain conditions will definitely see lower than 185HP levels due to timing retard.

No, it WON'T see over 185hp...and yes, it will DEFINITELY SEE LOWER THAN 185hp...
