I installed Sirius into my girfriends truck about 7 months ago, and she had no problems. granted i still think with all those channels, its full of junk, but she liked it.
anyhow, that was in AZ where there wasnt s*** of s*** of s***. now we get to cali, and the ******* s*** (signal) goes in and out if you pass under the slightest goddamn tree branch.
the roads here generally have some trees lined up along the road, maybe hanging over the road 2-3 ft, anywhere from sparsely to adequetly full of leaves, and the s*** "skips" CONSTANTLY.
as soon as im on the main highway, no problem. but if you so much as drive under a thick power line, they damn signal fades and you get that "Aquiring Signal" message.
hell, we were in San Fran, and we were HALF under an overpass and it couldnt even pick up reception. i understand the concept, but christ cell phones (which all suck) work better than this s***.
for 12 bucks or whatever a month, i guess you cant complain, but if you do most of your traveling in an area like mine, i highly suggest not getting this sat radio.
