Sirius sucks hairy horse nuts

I installed Sirius into my girfriends truck about 7 months ago, and she had no problems. granted i still think with all those channels, its full of junk, but she liked it.

anyhow, that was in AZ where there wasnt s*** of s*** of s***. now we get to cali, and the ******* s*** (signal) goes in and out if you pass under the slightest goddamn tree branch.

the roads here generally have some trees lined up along the road, maybe hanging over the road 2-3 ft, anywhere from sparsely to adequetly full of leaves, and the s*** "skips" CONSTANTLY.

as soon as im on the main highway, no problem. but if you so much as drive under a thick power line, they damn signal fades and you get that "Aquiring Signal" message.

hell, we were in San Fran, and we were HALF under an overpass and it couldnt even pick up reception. i understand the concept, but christ cell phones (which all suck) work better than this s***.

for 12 bucks or whatever a month, i guess you cant complain, but if you do most of your traveling in an area like mine, i highly suggest not getting this sat radio.

Mines has the same problem. It get cut off the movement I get under an overpass. It suck but oh well....i still dig the no commerical deal.

hrm, ok, so you have lots of problems. easy solution: cancel.

well she is the one that mainly drives the truck, it just happens to drive ME crazy and i was seeing if it was a largely scattered problem or locally.

no one else has this problem?

im thinking nobody responded because your first post was a statement about your opinion. it isnt until this post you actually asked a question. just an observation:)

Yup, antenna placement can make a huge difference.

I installed mine on the dashboard originally and reception was spotty. I later moved it to the roof, even though it was kind of ugly, it improved reception tremendously.

So where did you install the antenna?

Damn, my Serious blows Sirius...lol. I was gonna get it, cept the deal for MSP's is only for the states, I said **** that, I got CD-RW's, and some pretty good local stations, plus a music store.:D

the antenna is installed on the roof, near the opening of the hatch.

The antenna needs to have at least 6 inches of flat metal around it, 1 sq ft, it is not designed to be mounted near the edges. This will tremeniously help to improve reception, especially in areas where your line of sight to the satellites can be spotty.

it has that much. i used the strip of whateve that comes wtih it. so its 6 or whatever inches from the opening of the hatch of her cherokee like the parts that come with it suggest.

I love my sirius radio. I'm having great luck. Be sure the install is solid. I love it. I listen to 22. First wave. Reminds me of college...lol

On a clear day I can get mine to almost work in the garage. Occasionally(sp) it goes out driving while under HEAVY foilage. But over all very very good product and service.

yea whatever dickhead. since you are about the biggest douche on this forum, and except for you local cronies, people mainly tolerate you at BEST...ill take that as a compliment.

since you obviously just came here to start a fight, leave.

you obviously have issues in alabama with english education, because if you could at least read a paragraph before your dickhead instincts kick in, you could understand that this is in my girlfriends truck, not in my car. furthermore this is my opinion on the product so other people are warned, and i have no interest in EVER owning this radio or whatever.

anyhow, youre posts are 90 percent worthless most of the time, so **** off.

again, it son the top of the truck in the back.

savy i hope like hell you arent talking to ME.

uh oh, babys gonna cry now! I made fun of his habit of product bashing and then flip-flopping to product loving when he gets someting at a discount.....death to me!

Easy there matthew. atleast I'm not making fun of your gay-ass shoes anymore.
