The G35 is the same engine as a 350z and a lot heavier. The G35 is no where near as fast as a 350z and I have run my share of those.
The G35 is a nice looking car, but its not fast. I use to beat them in my S2000 all the time as well. S2000/MS3 are a drivers race.

Well, I'm going to come right out and say your problem isn't your friends and it isn't the MS3 and it isn't the G35. It's you.
If you let yourself be bothered by what your friends say about your car, it's your fault that you are unhappy. Really.
They drive sport-tourers from the luxury division of Nissan, and paid at least $10,000 more for their cars than you did for yours. After dropping the equivalent of a pretty nice used Miata on top of the price of your car, they've got a car that could, potentially run the 1/4 mile .2 to .5 of a second faster than yours. Or not.
I say, don't sweat the fraction of a second. Your car would eat theirs for lunch at an autocross, and probably on a road-race course. Personally, if I had the money for a new G35, I'd buy a new MS3 and a used Miata, and have two cars that are faster in the twisties!
Plus, you'll get better gas mileage and spend less on maintenance than they will!
Just enjoy what you have, and don't let the opinions of others influence your sense of self-worth.
Besides, if your friends are actually deriding you about something as stupid as a car, you need new friends.
theres a few video's of them racing . look em up on youtube if you want to see wich is really faster . I like the way the g35 looks but Im more happy with having the versatility of my hatchback . Both great cars and my friends G35 is awsome on the autocross but we ran about the same times .

on another hand, one trick I learn when someone is degrading my car, I always go with the following:
:dude, your car is so slow compare to mine
: oh, really? What do you have?
: (person said, G37, for example)
: oh, (play dumb). It must be expensive. Is it fast like a porsche?
:"no"
: oh, fast like an M3
:"no, not really"
: oh, so you are just "faster" than me. Good for you (then leave)

you can also change to the subject of interior like...oh it must have leather seat, or DVD player etc, as long as you ask them things that they DON'T have. Afterward, they don't really have much to push for anymore.

I saw a G37-S on the road. Damn, it looks nice.
Me and my GF both love fast cars and I drive as a daily driver currently (2008 MS3 Stock) and then my GF drives a 2008 G37s. It's a drivers race. Sometimes she can stomp me and other times I can stomp her. Drivers Race...Drivers Race completely. And I have driven her G37 and she has driven my MS3 and it's the same. (BTW: She can drive better than most guys I have met. No pun.)

A few of my buddies were talking about how only old fat guys ride Harleys...I chimed in that only fast and the furious type assholes drive sport bikes.
I guess it wasn't enough proof that they were wrong when I am neither old or fat. Oh well
Back on topic, it doesn't seem like the G35's are that much faster at all. Drivers race I would think.
1) Sport bikes are awesome, and can be beautiful, and you dont have to be paul walker to ride one. But for 8k I'd get a more expensive car.
2) G35's are basically just as fast as the MS3, however, its much sexier looking, it has more brand cache and its RWD, which, is great as our car handles, RWD feels so much better. But I'm in a snow climate so I have to have FWD or AWD.
