No, I got scared cause I got the ms3 GT with auto leveling HIDS. The motors and all the other fancy crap is not removable from the headlight housing so I had to buy a heat gun and melt the s*** out of the head light housing to take them apart..
Someone made a similar comment in another thread before, but when you think about it, it's not a big deal. If you consider that it gets pretty hot in the engine compartment under normal operation, and these cars have been running in hot climates without issue, then whats 200* for ~15min?

I bought a kit as well, but I'm more concerned about taking the front end apart without breaking (or otherwise damaging) something. If I had the extra cash, I'd probably buy another set of housings as insurance...(or replacements when the existing ones start showing signs of sun-damage.)

Yup. You buy any kit made for a mazda 3 like I did.

I managed to put everything back together and re-melt it back into place for the most part. Now the true test is to see in a month if the headlight fogs up.

I will NEVER do that again. Both my hands are sore/burnt. My headlights are ugly (Not visible but the fact that I know I scarred her for life will always bother me.) I'll go run outside right now and take some pics.

Yea.. so.. this is exactly why I would never mess with this mod. :)

They look cool but I have the GT with the nice HID lights and still havent used them. I have yet to drive at night since I come home from work, wipe down my car for the next day, then put her in the garage.

Its funny that I have these bad ass lights but never used them so unless you roll at night looking for trouble I dont see this mod being fun for me.

your better off baking it ,than using a heat gun , this was the first mod after one week I got the car, so far so good I live in a rainy/cold state, baking it will not melt the headlight housing ,it just warm it up thats all it doing to the housing

I had a sedan before so I know the process.

notice now people in there cars will give you the double look

I am afraid to do it, no matter if its easy to screw up the HID and autolevelers not. I would probably figure out a way to mess them up.

Looks good though nonetheless.

I put those in my mazda3i when I had it. I was scared as fudge when they told me I had to bake the lights, but it aint that bad, you heat them, take them out, take them apart, put them on, put them back again and with a hairdryier, heat them together, let it dry for a minute and its back to normal. Had no problems with water or stuff getting in them. After I put them on I receieve a lot of compliment and thumbs up from passer bys...more than my wheels that cost me more lol. They look great during the day, at night they look good to but with the headlights/fog light, they dont stick out as much as in the day. Definately a good mod.

btw, I have another set I accidently ordered twice online when they told me my order had being canceled and I re-ordered. They had already shipped it, and e-mailed me to notify me after I had bought the second set. They were going to charge me 20 dolars or so (forgot) to cancel the order, so I just figure I would let them ship it and I would sale them. I asked a few guys with mazda3s I knew if they wanted them, but they arent really into mods etc, so I just put stored them and have them. I also have the stock/OEM mazda3 16 inch wheels if anyone is interested

So PM me if you're interested in mazda3 angel eyes and/or OEM wheels. And I will send you pics with my username/date/etc written on paper. I think the halos work on Speed3s too.

No need to wait for a month, wash your car with your angel eyes on. Espically around your headlight area. If the headlight housing isn't sealed properly you will begin to see it fog up. Trust, me and another forum member had to open, reopen and reseal several times just to get it right.

Heres a couple more. :)

It looks sweet! I personally wouldn't do it to my MS3 since my butterfingers + HID = permanent damage/ fog.

I guess I could just buy a BMW if I really wanted a car that came with them (although they probably aren't as bright). *^_^*

I saw two other honda's at the drags and a BMW on the street with angel eyes. None are nowhere near as bright as mine. :)
