sidemarker rewire

Yes, Just make sure it the light green wire. b/c its the trigger wire. You already have the dark green attached....

What light green wire.. There are only two wires going to the side marker the ground "black" and a power "Dark Green with a black strip" Where is this light green trigger wire you are talking about???

well, i attempted to rewire my sidemarkers, but i only got them to stay on with the parking lights and not blink with the turn signal. i used the directions on the other thread that involved making a new set of black/red wires and fishing them through the wheel well to the lights. attatched is a pic of the wires connected middle turn signal. ive read that all you have to do is tap the light green into the black. do i do this at the end of the wires that connects to the sidemarker or at the end connected to the turn signal?

Look at your parking light for that wire, not the sidemarker.

You don't need to do all of that red/black wire stuff. Read the post I made above about just running one wire. I *know* that way works.

Look at your parking light for that wire, not the sidemarker.

Ok so tape into the light green trigger wire off of the front parking lights and run that wire to the ground wire going to the sidemarker..?? I dont remember if both parking lights on the head light flash but does it matter which?? The iner or the outter light on the headlight??

Inner. The outer light does not flash, it's constantly on.

i think it will be more work for me to get rid of the red/black wire stuff, so is there a way i can make them blink with it? trust me, id go back and just tap the black wire from the sidemarker into the green one, like you said before, but if i can work around ill do it.

Then just use one of the wires you ran and do what I said above and tape the ends of the unused wire.

ok, here's what i did. i made a black/red wire thingy. one end of the black wire went to the black wire on the side marker and the other end went to the black wire on the turn signal. one end of the red wire went to the green/black on the side marker, the other end on the light green/black of the turn signal. now do i just tap the black wire at the end connected to the turn signal into the light green/black wire next to it?

does the same go for the outer parking lights to get them to blink with the turn signal and sidemarker? do i just tap the black wire into the light green/black wire?

i tried this mod and my fuse went out. has that happened to anyone else? also, does this mod make the sidemarker dimmer than when it flashes.. or is it bright?

The sidemarker will not get dimmer, it will just flash as your inner parking light does.

i tried it the one wire way, with the black wire connected to the light green one.

Zoom, Cut the ground wire from sidemarker light. and run a new ground wire from sidemarker to the middle parking light that flashes.. light green with white stripe make all connections before you try them out... it works just fine MJG
