So the other day I went to remove my side mouldings, everything was nice and warm, I had a bottle of Goof Off at the ready for the leftover adhesive, seemed like it was good to go. Drivers door one comes off fine. Drivers side passenger door? Not so much, as you can see in the pictures. Theres a huge ridge at the back corner and the paint has a groove in it thats lighter in colour.
I immediately contacted the guy I bought the car from, and apparently that door was indeed repainted at some point. What can I do now to get the clean, no-moulding look? Any cost estimates for paint work or DIY fixes would be much appreciated. For the time being I just stuck it back on with some double sided 3m, but it looks pretty rough.
Also, the drivers door one did leave a bit of an off colour area, hard to notice but definitely there. Anything I can do about that? Jewellers rouge? Clay bar?
