Sick mazda 3 at SEMA 2008

I'll be one of the few to say I like it. Granted I would never do ANY of that to my car nor would I be caught dead driving it, but you can tell a lot of quality work went into that thing. I especially like the clear seats. I've never seen that before.

i dont think "quality work" means much when the end product is probably consider ugly by most people

haha, this is too funny

I wonder how fast it is with all that weight and the rim size. This can't be a daily driver, you would slide around in the seat taking a turn at 5MPH. Just horrible...in SO many ways.

what do they do with these retarded cars after the shows? I know somebody doesn't drive that thing down the street.

Someone somewhere has to be driving around in it. The 3 is a pretty unpopular car at SEMA that's kind of dissapointing.

I can understand how these "show cars" can be cool while ugly. It's just like manufacturers concept cars, they are there to show off something different, while looking out of the ordinary. There's very few concept cars that I like.

HOWEVER:

That 3 is butt ugly. Drawbridge doors: okay, interesting, but WTF is the point?! How do you get in/out? Why not just get rid of them and make a 2-door? That'd be better. Plus, the look of the f-150 tailgate strap is ridiculous.

The hood is just, well, I guess I just don't get it. I'll leave it at that.

The original 3 bumper is unique and looks aggressive. They took it off and replaced it with the same old bumper I used to see on Integras ten years ago. YAWN......

The rear bumper. You got a 15" wide cutout for exhaust with a 3" exhaust tip? I'm not a fan of big tips, but that just looks plain silly.

The interior is worse than the exterior. I don't know where to start with the seats. So much for bolsters. What is with the steering column? It looks furry! Why is everything dyed a different color, except for the handbrake?
Is that a DVD on the passenger side door. How the F are you supposed to watch anything without spraining your neck?

Most importantly, how the hell can someone afford to write off thousands of dollars in this contraption in this economy. I hope none of that $700 Billion goes to a baller-bailout.

Two things are hot about this car. Shaved door handles and flared fenders. I know you like those fenders.
