Shuriks 06 ms6 rebuild thread

sweet. Thanks thats going to cut me down a few bucks cuz i can get a regular 6 fog at a local junkyard for way cheaper.

Not too many 06-08 Mazda 6's with fogs, only GT's came with them. However 04-06 MPV's, Mazda 5 and CX-7 all use the same fog lights. Mazda parts to look for:
LE46-51-680C LAMP
LE46-51-690C LAMP(L)

Thanks alot bro. That helps me alot :)

Nope, not yet. Shes just sitting in my driveway without a fender, a hood, a grill, and a few other things. Ordered all of them and they were shipped via UPS today. Im so anxious to get it all in so i can finish her up, pass state patrol, and get her to a paint shop. :)

So, its been a while since i posted on this thread. Kinda sucks. So, i got my parts in yesterday, the air flow guide, fog cover and fog bracket. Now, all i need is a grill hood and fender, those are easy. The hood and fender are coming from the dealer and grill is going to be a auto exe. Ill get some pics as soon as i can once i put all the stuff on. Once i get the washer resevoir, im putting the bumper and headlights on. :) exciting. Ill keep you all posted!

Nah, Liquid Platinum (not silver :P) is the perfect stealth color...ricers leave you alone and cops follow you in the fast lane doing 80 and don't bother to give you tickets (yes, this was me last weekend). :D

hahaha i love when the ricers start stuff, i can show them whos boss :) i think im just going to leave it. if i were to paint the car WWP, id have to paint all the jams and everything, and that gets pricey. If i leave it the same color, ill paint just the front end. They do a blend into the doors and make it so you cant tell just the front was painted. The paint of the rest of the car is still pretty decent. I would LOVEEEEE the WWP though. My favorite.

ah ic ic.

sorry reed, i personally think the silver (bla bla liquid bla! lol) is kinda boring. but as i say, thats what makes it sleeper? hehe.
Mines fairly sleeper still, not quite black. But dark enough to look SLEEK, and is a super unique color. But i do get hassled by cops and ricers a bit more often then you no doubt. :p

Ok, so ive really been sluffin on this thread lately. Got to get the camera out and take a few pictures. Because of school and work, my work on my baby is limited. School til 1, work from 2 to 1130 just about all days. Cant work on it sundays cuz of religion. Saturdays usually ahve stuff to do around the house. :( Shes doing good though. Got all the front end parts, everything is just about up to date. To her for a test drive the other day and found out that the passenger wheel isnt standing straight. Took off the wheel, checked it out, and dont see anything wrong. Nothing is bent, nothing wrong. So, im going to take it to the local les schwab and see if they can get an alignment done. If they can, im keeping it that way, but if they tell me something is bent, i guess thats another thing to my list. So far, she is turning out like 7600. Pictures to come soon :)

UPDATE!!!!

Finally, i got 2 days off from school and work and all that good stuff so i was able to put her back together. Got the front put back together, dont mind all the grand canyon gaps everywhere, those are going to get adjusted. The grill thats on there is the broken one, its going to get changed to the auto exe as soon as i can. The lowering springs are going on next. Set of eibach sportline springs. Shes looking good already. Drove her down the street and back, fixed the crooked wheel somewhat. Now just gotta get the springs on and get an alignment. State patrol inspection is on the 24th so gotta get everything done before then. Im thinking whether or not ill have enough time to paint it before the inspection but well see about that. :) its exciting to see her coming to an acutal car :) ENJOY!

really coming together nicely, you may want to check the upper rad support because it looks off where the front bumper meets the hood in the middle....like its pushed back too far.

I noticed that myself. It seems as if that side of the rad support is pushed back too far. :( thats what happens when you buy stuff from certi-fit or partschannel. taiwan made parts. Its ok though, ill figure something out. Might just have to pull the rad support on that side out a little. :) As long as shes coming together. Projects are fun. But when your carless for a few weeks, it sucks

Wow, if i was as talented/resourceful as you were id probably buy a crashed up 2004+ Audi S4. I think the speed6 is a nice car at its price point but i lust after something greater :-)

haha talented and resourceful huh? I feel you just made me feel pretty darn good about myself :) naw, i dont like the audis too much. Way too many issues. Theyre pretty fast, but have too many issues. My brother in law had one, stage 2 turbos, this thing had BALLLLLS. but he spent way too much on parts to repair stuff that kept braking.

SOOOOOOO. after a long waited 2 months, my car is finally almost done and is getting painted as we speak. Its supposed to be done wednesday. haha. i have no idea why i took so long to get this one done. The rest of the projects were done like 3 weeks after i purchased them. I guess a job, a girlfriend, and school all get in the way of it. :) Im going to start a new thread because this one is pretty old and in that thread ill just post all the pictures from beginning to end. :) woot woot! almost done baby
