shudder under heavy braking?

Hey guys, my MS3 has developed a pretty heavy shudder when braking braking from speeds of 30-40 MPH. Most of the shake emanates through the steering wheel, not too much from the pedal. I checked the lugs, they are tight. My gut tells me it is warped front rotors, but does anyone think it could be something else?(toilet)

does it get worse if your brake from higher speeds, or after driving and braking for a while?

sounds like it's just wheel balance to me, if your not getting pulsating in the brake pedal then I wouldn't say it's warp rotors just yet.

it seems to happen only with moderate to heavy pressure on the brake pedal, i just had new tires mounted and balanced on the car, before the new tires, the problem was there, but not as bad.
