ok let me get this straight ..some of you think that puttin aturbo on a mazda protege to get a whopping 190 hp at the wheels is cool. then you guys put on "lightweight" wheels ...which i have yet to see a REAL set of custom lightweight wheels on a protege ie HRE, which i just put on a lexus is300 that my shop built...300whp with a turbo in a real car!!! then you go down to the track and "race" it in the quarter mile. i find this a completwe waste of time myself.....OMG i think we have a breakthrough....we are DIFFERENT people. If ya want to see a real drag race come watch US!! unfortunately i have a job so i cant go with the team as much as i like when we tour the states but if you r in seattle or washington for that matter come watch a real race......HELL RACING.....twin supercharged nitro harley..two cylinders 1100 hp!!!...6.85 @208mph is our best run so lets just leave it at that we are all different and into different things ie :wastin 4 grand for 190 horsepower is not for me.

dude relax...its a public forum...You should have expected that kind of s*** for posting a "bling"ed out protege on here (you said it yourself)...

FWIW HRE's are hardly "real" lightweight racing wheels...BBS's are...Volk's are...Advan's are...and others...all three mentioned have been on proteges...HRE's are just expensive ass wheels that happen to be light in terms of 11" wide aftermarket wheels...and they are much more of a "i have more money than you" statement than anything...and by "real" racing wheels, I mean wheels designed for racing above anything else...not looks...not bling factor...HRE's definately do not fit into that category...

you are right we are different people...and everyone on here has different taste...which is why it is always a good idea to keep in mind that some people on an internet forum may not like your chrome wheels...and make fun of you for having them...don't take it personally...it all could have been easily avoided...

Look around...everytime someone posts something, there's some people that don't like it. Get used to it, or get off the internet. Your car doesn't look bad...nice clean body kit, and I'm sure those wheels cost you a small fortune. But if you're looking for fans of bling...you're on the wrong forum.

s*** I looked at you in that picture and said " I didnt know the Gottis had family in canada". I would rather have a turbo and have 190WHP then have stock 100 and nothing at the wheels, and then put 400 pound rims on my car. Thats great your shop put a turbo in a IS300 it makes 300whp crazy, but is it yours, no. Just chill on the quick to react factor, we all have different tastes, obviously you have a little bit different taste then a lot of us, but dont be ghey about it.

I just got new rims a few months ago, but forgive me these pictures were taken during a "transitional" phase. I was in the middle of changing my JT Evo front bumper and WW sides and rear back to stock, as the picture shows I was 1/3 there. Also, about 12 hours before these photos were taken my motor blew, so the car is now in the shop getting a full rebuild with forged internals, all the doo-dads, yadda yadda yadda...
