Lookin for ideas on colors and how to paint, ie whole caliper and back of pad, just caliper, leave metal clip not painted etc.. and a color. I have always done red but wondered how other colors would look too. Going on a black mica with black polished lip wheels. I'd like to see others work before i tear mine down and paint. Thinking of Orange or Yellow

I recently did a custom color from G2 paint kit, it was expensive but well worth it. Its called grabber orange and it has a yellowish gold hue to it, so it kinda has that brembo type look. Not exact, but about as close as you can get. I will get pics up asap when I can get the car cleaned off with all this salt and snow. I did these and did black mazdaspeed decals on the calipers and installed gloss black wheels at the same time. It looks great, have received nothing but compliments. I wanted to try something outside of the box, and I think I pulled it off nicely.

pix soon, its supposed to be almost 70 degrees this weekend...installing my medieval turbo inlet, txs downpipe, and upgraded plugs, and I will be sure to snap some pics while working on the car.

Alright I got 2 pics today, on my bad cell phone, but you get the idea. Better pics coming in 2 weeks when I have my professional shoot done. The cell phone ruins the details on the wheels and makes them look odd, but you get the idea.

cell phones make them look more orange, but its the best I can do for now. Its a Ford Color, called Grabber Orange. Looks really nice in person. thanks though :)

I would do what MM BOOST did. That's the tits!!!

(yellow was exactly what I was thinking...then you said it.)

Dupli-Color caliper paint kit from autozone. Not the one in a aerosol can. You have to brush it on and do about 3-4 coats to get it real sexy, but its well worth it. Cost about $16

looks extra clean man I will be picking that kit up cuz i have the can in red but have not applied it yet. thanks for teh info

I'm having a hard time deciding what color myself. I have a Cosmic Blue Speed and don't want to go red. I was thinking Black with silver mazdaspeed decals. What do ya'll think would look best with the Cosmic Blue? Spray or brush?

Brush..most sprays start flaking off within a few months. The black with silver would be cool too.

The kit i used was G2 kit and it cost $70 because I had a custom color made. It was a brush on and the quality is unbeatable. This paint will never chip.

I used G2 on my previous car and it was solid for several years. I did my Cosmic Blue in black G2, nothing fancy.

Removed calipers from car, and slighly ground the surface for a slightly smoother surface. Primered using high-heat ceramic engine enamel primer, medium metallic grey basecoat, cleared using high-heat engine enamel clear. Also painted the spring clip copper & cleared.
