short throw shifter

Any reccomendations? Im looking for a nice quality that is short and has a throw similar to the Honda S2000's (very very very short) thanks alot -Dan

the MSP already comes with a short throw shifter, but if you want a shorter one I beleive TWM will net the most difference. Their shifters offer the most throw reduction and are great quality. Have had one on my car for like 2 years.

I liked my B&M a lot in my old MSP as well. Very short and very direct with the Kartboy bushings. It also raises the shift knob height to a slightly better position.

yeah i liked the raised position as well. that was the big factor i picked that over the others despite the bigger $$$. i never miss 5th now, lol.

I've got the Karboy shifter/bushings/knob. I think it's perfect.

I've used B&M before also, they make really nice shifters.

im also a big fan of the kartboy shifter..spend the xtra few bucks too to get the kb bushings..very good investment

The man asked for a SHORT one, if the B&M raises the height of the knob, I don't think its quite what this person's looking for...as for my 2 cents, from what I've read, the TWM and Kartboy are the shortest, height wise...may want to look into the perrin adjustable, or go to this thread http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32816&page=1&pp=15&highlight=short+shifters
dude, short throw shifter means that it has a short throw. Has nothing to do with hight. But yes it generally goes hand in hand but it does not reffer to hight. Anyway, the shortest throw shifter for our cars is TWM.

A short shifter is just an adjustment of where the pivot ball is. Sometimes the space below the ball is lengthened, sometimes the top is shortened, and sometimes it's a combination of the two. However they are designed, they are still short shifters.

Here's an example of a short shifter next to a stock one.

I think you would really like the TWM ss I put mine in a few months ago and i love it!! Its fairly easy to install and has pretty detailed instructions.

i had the twm in my MP3 and phreakmp5 has the kartboy in his p5. they both feel good, i like the twm a little better. the twm is nice cause its comes with the billet spacers, and bearings in the bottom. the kartboy is nice its very well built and inexpensive compared to the other short throw.s

No you dumbass, I meant a short one in reference to height because I have friends who don't give a damn about the length of the throw, as long as it sits inside of the shift ring. I'm not saying thats what i'm going for, but if that's what this guy was going for, I was trying to help him out. So kiss my (moon).

The TWM + Kartboy bushings + GM Synchromesh + F. engine mount = (first) (1000% better than stock! all shifts and downshifts are precise, easy and smooth, all the time)
