Short Throw Install -- HELP!!!!

you just remove the shifter plate, i just popped mine out instead of taking out the whole console, it is a little bit tight but there was enough room to get it done. and just remove the snap ring and unbolt it from the shifting linkage and reinstall everything.

i did the snap ring from inside but you have to remove that bolt that goes through the bottom of the shifter and the shifting linkage, it is hidden right below the heat sheild, just crawl up under there and you will be able to see it.

Alright sounds easy Ill give it a try tomorrow. Its weard I never had to go under to do this on the other cars

yeah, just make sure you have jack stands or somthing before you crawl under the car. im not trying to tell you what to do but so many people do think it matters but it does, a guy that i worked with his buddy got killed because the jack fell on him. so always always always use jack stands or blocks.

yeah and they would work for this install, i have never used ramps but sometimes jackstands get in the way of my creeper so i can only imagine what ramps would do! but for this install you would be ok and plus would the msp even drive up on ramps?

Good point. I think a stock MSP might, but if not, I use two thick boards to roll up on before I drive onto actual ramps.
