I've been thinking of upgrading my car's air intake , my question for all of you who already have had this upgrade is ,
What will work better on a MSP , a Short Ram Intake OR Cold Air Intake ???

I have a cold air intake but I saw a video the other day that may have changed my mind on what I may have spent my money.

here it is. Maybe spend money on a exhaust system if you don't already have one. But I would say cold air intake or anything that can get you the coolest air possible. A sri is good and simple but you will be sucking in hot air unless you build a shield of some sorts. Its up to you in the end boss good luck.

Best option is buy an ebay FMIC kit and make an intake with an extra pipe and a cone filter. Save $200 on buying an intake.

IMO that video could have been done much better, I don't believe any of it.

Sri!! turbo is gona heat up the air from a cai anyways and if u have a front mount intercoler itl cool it the same either way

the intercooler will cool But it will be from a higher point. If you do a sri maybe wrap it or put a sleeve on it.

Heres a good question do you have emissions in your county or state. If so youll need a sticker.

exactly what i did. I bought a k&n filter and saved the CARB sticker from my last cold air intake. cost was under $200

CARB stickers can be found for around $20 on ebay

does it matter where I place the Mass airflow sensor , on my MSP it is after the air filter , I see your set up is quite different Brian ?

2 questions

Do you daily it

Does it ran a lot where you live

I'm actually putting the stock intake back on my protege soon due to rain water puddles up on the roads I drive on for work. On the 323 which doesn't get driven on dirty roads or in rain etc I don't even run a filter just a screen to keep anything big from damaging the turbo like June bugs
