Shifter pops after releasing the clutch

today my shifter started doing this weird thing where it pops (and its loud too) when i release the clutch, it started out just in 1st and 2nd but now its all the way to 4th gear, its not popping out of gear but its still weird and im afraid if i dont do anything about it soon my trans will get messed up

Sounds like motor or tranny mount. Maybe both. Not 100% sure. But that is my guess

^It is very likely a mount issue. Check to make sure all the nuts are torqued at the proper level. A buddy of mine had his tranny mount out of spec and it would make a ridiculous popping noise if he tried shifting above 3500 rpm.

^if it is the mounts, I'd place my money on the rubber being shredded to hell opposed to the nuts being loose. the stock mounts on this car are horrible and cause all kinds of problems.

check your front mount. Those go first and apply the most torque to the shifter.
