Shifter bushings?

So, I've been thinking of doing some shifter upgrades for my first real performance upgrades. Hoping that it will mean less gear grinding. I'm definitely planning on the Corksport short shifter, and debating on a new shift knob. One thing that I haven't been able to find out there yet is some shifter bushings. Can you do anything about that Corksport?

I put some solid ones in my car and I didn't like it actually. Usually shifter bushings are great for any car I have driven, but in the 2 it was just too much. There was a large stop in the movement to get it into gear where the stock shifter it is more of a nudge than a hard stop before it slid into gear. I could see the short shifter being good though.

Can you guys elaborate on gear "grinding"? I don't think I've ever ran into any grinding problems at all, The AWR mount helped with shift feel overall though.

It's probably just because I suck at shifting, but often when going from 2nd to 3rd gear I don't get it all the way into gear on the first push and end up dropping the clutch too early.

Sounds to me like the short shift kit will help with your problem. Dramatically reduced throw, and a more solid feel. I love mine.

I just felt the stock feel was inconsistent and sometimes would dump the clutch too early, usually 1st to 2nd for me -- now it's way more consistent and not as 'floppy' feeling with way more positive shifts. SS kit makes it even better.
