Stock shifter still. =) I took the picture at a weird angle so it may look a bit shorter than it really is.

I ordered mine from Rosenthal, and installed it on my 2001 Protege Sedan ES.

I have a TWM short shifter.

It is heavier then the stock knob. Looks and feels better. Shifts better also.

Old thread, but amen to what you are saying. I have had the same TWM/Shift Knob setup for the past several months now and it really makes the shifting seem better. I did not do any change to the bushings. However, the new effort for shifting sometimes is not for everyone. I hope that you enjoy this setup as much as I have.- ZoomFive

I haven't read this whole thread, but just so you guys know, I've had the mazda 3's shift knob in my car for like a year now and it fits fine and i really like how it feels. Before that i had the 2003 stock one, then i switched to my friend's 2002 stock one for a while, then the kartboy one for a while, but none of them are as nice as the mazda 3's.
