Shaving the Emblems.

What's the best method for shaving the emblems off?

I've heard a hair dryer followed by fishing line and then just clean up the glue...

What do y'all think?

Also, what would you use to put them back on?

i used bug/tar remover and floss before, but fishing line would work better.
if you are putting them back on, if you were to buy new emblems they would come with tape, if not, use 3m double sided auto tape.

Did you heat them up with a hair dryer or you just soaked them in bug/tar remover and then dragged the line behind them?

I usually spray lighter fluid on them, let it soak in, wipe up excess, then medium heat on them with a plastic putty knife at a really shallow angle.

when i removed mine, i just used dental floss and made a couple passes behind the emblem. then i just peeled off the glue wit my hand. but i did it the day i bought my car so it might have been easier for me.
