o god this sounds sexy. im drooling right now.

but honestly i dont think i can do it, i baby my car alot for me to beat on it one day, if i still had my 240 then for sure.

but how do you guys do it????? thats what i wana know. i cant seem to get myself to beat up my car for a full day.

of course arguments can be made your not "beating it up" but none the less you are driving it hard, plus tire wear etc etc

I can always fix it:)? Maybe?

thats how i see it....now if you did this every week then i would say you were beating it up...but one day and a few laps? it would just have broken on the street a month or so down the road

I bought a Mazdaspeed Protege for it's performance capabilities. If I just wanted to buy something to get to and from work with, I would have bought something like a Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla (or another Chevy Cavalier).

What good is it owning a car like a Protege if you aren't going to use it in manners for which it's fully capable of?

i suppose i see the point i guess im more concerned about tires now that i think about it, cuz there expensive
but good words here guys

Remember, you can drive as hard and fast as you CHOOSE to. Concerned about your tires? Don't push your car to it's edge for the full 10 minutes. Do 2 warm up laps, 2 fast laps, and 2 cool down laps. That's about 7-9 minutes right there (depending on course layout).

Last month, I was running lap times of around 1:12 or so for most of the day. When I took it easy towards the last few laps of the day, I was pulling 1:22's. Apart from me having my ABS off and locking up my brakes once or twice, my tires were fine.
