Sega Initial D Arcade Game

Yup, I saw it tonight and immediately played it. Complete with the Initial D cast and crew. Even the cars.

One thing that bothers me, though. No matter how hard I tried, I could NOT drift the cars. The raceways were too narrow and it was too hard to control the car with the steering wheel. Any attempt at doing so caused me to go straight into walls/cliffs/etc.

Anyone else try this game? WTF?

There was one cool thing, though. Apparently there are "Initial D Cards" that are read by the arcade machines which allow you to save your car's configuration and buy upgrades and stuff which are all saved onto the card for later. Pretty cool, now I just have to learn how to drift in the game and I have to find an Initial D card.

Yeah man, this is old news. I have played it many times here in Fredericksburg; REMillers(Rob) and I discovered it at the local FunLand here and have been hooked ever since. I think I managed to drift the cars, maybe it's just me; regardless, I think the game is awesome. Congrats on your awesome find tho!
