Seemingly imitation JDM Tail light fitment

So I had bought a set of tail lights from ebay that simply seem like they are imitation JDM tail lights or something. The only problem is the fitment just seems absolutely horrible. Had any bought the ebay tail lights and had the same issues? Here is a link to the auction I had purchased it from:

Here are some pics of the end result:

I was really looking forward to these, but am rather upset with the fitment.

And yes, I know my car is quite dirty. It rained last night and the pollen has been crazy all week.

They're not JDM or Mazda at all, Just cheap aftermarket. Do they stick out from the body or you just have gaps? I'd get some weatherstripping to put around them.

Mainly just the gaps are there. I may try to cut the posts down a little bit to see if I can make them fit a bit better. Im guessing real JDM would cost quite a bit more money then...

I have those tails and have the same problem but only on the left tail. The right is fine, but even when i had the original tails on there was still a gap on the left i don't know if the previous owner got into an accident or some thing to that nature. Ive looked all over for signs but nothing looks bent or out of place so i don't know what the problem is. But no water gets inside the car so im not to concerned with it, visually its a little eye sore but i can live with it.

Yea, I guess I was mislead a little when purchasing these tail lights. I was about to try to return them due to the fit, but I decided to try to mod them a little. I shaved off about an 1/8th of an inch from the two upper posts and the left one fits MUCH better. I'm probably going to get some sort of molding to fit between the light and the car. I think I can make it look rather nice with a little bit of work.

Overall, I guess I am mildly satisfied with the results, especially after modifying them.
