Sedan Roof Spoiler

With the exchange, I had to pay $255 CDN. Nothiong else on top of that. I think it's probably a little cheaper than that right now.

that's a good deal.
CARTUNER from mpsport.net quoted me $250USD for the roof spoiler..and he was telling me that's member's price!

Tell me how you installation goes and please post some pictures..

I'm taking it to my guy tomorrow along with my eyebrows. I should have it painted and ready hopefully by Wednesday along with an added surprise. MAn I can't wait! So do you think that you're going to buy it? $250 USD is a huge ripoff!!! Talk to Mitch and he'll hook you up.

Actually, i looked at it last night with my friends, and they think that it won't fly off cause wind can't get underneath the visor to lift it. Unless you stick it onto your rear window incorrectly with a bit of gap, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Ok. Only you seem to know what i'm talking about..
because many people believe that the roof spoiler will affect the aerodynamics of the car, but i don't believe it willl....
anyway, $250USD is a HUGE rip off...that guy kept saying it's a member's price and it wa a good deal!
screw him....
How can i get in touch with Mitch ( the guy you dealt with ) i am seriously interested in getting it. I find that our back glass is missing something and the roof spolier is definetely it!

let's talk over e-mail.....jcsdesign@yahoo.com

It's from Wings West Site, I just download that pic... I've seen it in person. It looks very nice. :) It's look just like a BMW roof spoiler.

(snip)...

It'll change the way the air flows over the back window slightly. Not enough to change anything though I don't think.

If you ever have snow go over the back you window you would understand.

I don't have one but was thinking of getting one because I want to change the way the air flows over the back. The middle of the glass is a huge dead area and snow deposits there. Down the middle in the middle making it difficult to see sometimes out the back with the rearview mirror. Well, at least unitl it melts completely enough to see.

I thought the addition of the rear window spoiler would help push most of that snow back further onto the trunk and not all over the middle of the back glass.

someone on this forum has it ! ... i dont know his name on here but on protegeclub, its dr. zoom ... he has it and it looks realll nice, if we r talking bout the same thing here

i can't believe someone actually came back on this thread to post.....this is soo old.

But even so, i'll let you guys know what happen with my roof spoiler. I orderd it from Mitch and it arrives, i got it painted and installed with the double sided tape that came with it from WW. The following day after the installation, i took off the masking tape that was holding it in place.

the week followed and as i drove on the highway, i carefully monitored my speed, keeping it below 100km/h.

A few days after, i washed the car, and discovered the double sided tape showed signs of weakness... Then, as i put my hand on it...half of the spoiler slipped off!

It turns, out the water was getting in and around the tape, which caused this.
I went back to the bodyshop where i had a discuss about it, and they went with the 'body kit' epoxy.

Thinking it would hold this time, i continued my daily highway drives the week that followed...and without notice, FLUM!

You guessed it, it flew right off my car!! and luckily no one was behind me...it landed perfectly in the median...

I went back to pick it up...and found many scratches and chips...

Today, i still don't have it back on..because i just don't know what epoxy to trust....

what a huge waste of $$...
Just can't wait to see it back on my car again.

Hey guys just reviewing here......There was a miscommunication bout pirice my quote is 250 cdn. thats painted and installed or just painted and shipped. you must have misunderstood me. so in stead of "screw him" dont ya think that there was way too big of a price jump there that there must have been somethin wrong? so instead of calling me back you say "screw him"....wonder how much money you've wasted this way?

Anyways here's apic of mine been on therte for two years now. who ever mounted yours didn't prep the surface or bake the tape either...no matter what job you do..its all in the prep
