seat belt beeper

I don't want to do anything in the dash. I wash thinking there is something I could do to the wires leading to the belt. I wish the dealer would simply disable it but they all say it is a liability. And to you Aricjm. I'm the asshole!?!? I simply asked a question and you responded with a link like that.

I've been lurking on the site for while as I'll be buying a 5 soon for my wife. Now help me understanding this, you get a warning beep if the passenger side seat-belt is not buckled? Please tell me it uses a sensor to bypass the warning if no one is sitting in the seat! If so great, I feel naked being in the front row of a car without a seat-belt.

I am not sure how the Canadian models differ from yours but I have the GS and the passenger side does not beep when someone is sitting there with no seatbelt on. Only the dash lights up.
