89 Mazda 323
Well I have an 89 323 base model and just looking to make in manual, its currently automatic and its really boring. Not looking for power or anything just want to make it manual, I know how to do it but since im new to this whole 323 thing I dont know whats to it. Like....

Is it shifter cables or shift linkage?

What kinda car pedals can I get that would bolt on, since in Orlando, Florida theres hardly any 323's?

Do my automatic axles work with the manual transmission?

I was told that I needed to get a manual car brake master cylinder, ill buy it new so what year car?

What other kind of car can I get the transmission out of, my car is just a 1.6 SOHC

Is the transmission cable or hydraulic, if so is there any other car that the clutch lines with fit on the 323?

Do I have to change the ECU?

Well I think thats about it, add anything else I missed and please help out, dont put "search you noob" (headshake

No its not cable. Its linkage. Best thing, find a 323 SE and just snag everything off of it, shift linkage, pedal set, shifter, trans, axles, clutch cable, flywheel, engine mounts (not sure if they are different), and center console. Might be one or two thinks I missed, but its fairly basic. Plus, the SE's usually all have a 5 speed, instead of a 4.

OR

You could source a B6T and G series trans and just have fun with that. :D

alright so the tranny is linkage, and the clutch is cable, so why do I hear about I need to change my brake master cylinder? or I dont

Should have nothing to do with the master cylinder.

Unless your mechanically inclined and are going to do the work yourself your better off just getting a manual car....
