Any ill effects to be aware of when running seafoam and having a turbo?

I put seafoam right in my vac near the PCV to clean out my top end. Never had problems, cleans it well too.

^^ Same here, used about 1/3 pint at around 30K and again at 48K. Smoother idle and no issues so far.

search for "seafoam" in the title, I think there is a thread somewhere. I took out my PCV and poured it in there slowly. The engine bogs down and you have to just keep revving it. you can just suck it out of a bowl with a vac hose near the IM. but suck some air with it so you dont stall the engine.

At least that is what I remember, but I could have done it differently. I went by the thread....

check out seafoamsales.com for more info. I found it at NAPA if you have those locally.


Just remove the vacuum line off the pcv valve and slowly poor about a 1/3 in slowly with the engine running. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then fire up the car. Do this in a well vented area as you'll create a lot of white smoke.

If you have a vac leak it will show you where it is too right?
