Scrath on the Bumper

:
2019 CX5 GT-R
Hello All
I scrapped by Front passenger bumber against the Garage door few minutes back and feeling so upset. I used to take care of the car like my kid, but it just happened from my hand itself (mad)

Looks like there's a hole? They could plastic weld, refinish and repaint it. The cheap route is to sand it down, bondo it, sand it again and repaint. For something like that, I would expect a body shop would charge $300-400.

I agree with this, a good shop and fix it this way in very little time and without being a bad job. Way cheaper than a new, painted cover.

Yep. We just had our Mazda 3 rear bumper repaired the way you described and it was badly damaged. Plastic weld (plus staples), refinish and repaint. You can't tell from new. $400

I dropped my CX-5 off this morning for bumper replacement (rear-ended in highway traffic last week). The OEM part alone is $270 before paint and labor - final cost to the at-fault insurance will be just over ~$700 barring no other surprises.
