Scratches on my MP3.

This weekend some retarded kids ( the new generation of kids is really s***... i think 90% of the parents here in quebec don't know how to raise kids anymore.. they have no respect and we should be allowed to beat them up ) ... anyway they threw an egg at my car and it scraped my paint. How can a egg ( even if its cold outside ) scrap my paint? I have like 20 small scratches where the egg impacted. I'm so unlucky last week some retard in the parking scratched my mirror too... i wasn't there but alarm went off.. came outside no one was around.. #*)@

Has anyone had any scratches fixed? How expensive is it? And do all places have our right color code or should i do it at Mazda's?

From what I know, any reputable shop should have access to our paint code as it is on the drivers side door next to the VIN. I'd stay away from amatures, let the pro who know what they're doing get the scrathes out. Depending on how bad and deep they are, you might be able to use a mild abrasive to get the out. I say, take it to a few shops and get a few different estimates before you go for one. Good Luck bro

Hey Karl, what region of Montreal do you live in?
I work in a very big body shop on the montreal south shore. For the egg scratches, I'm pretty sure they would come off with a proffessionnal compound (not the s*** they sell at Canadian Tire). As for the mirror I would have to see...
Either way it would be like new and our paint warrantied for life.

I hope you get it fixed.

My friend had an egg thrown at his blazer at night and he didn't know. Then in the morning the sun warned the egg and it dried to the paint and contracted. It pulled the paind off in a circle. It sucked.

Karl, depending on how deep the scratches are you may want to try a scratch remover. Good products like Meguiars " Scratch X " or even that crap they sell on TV, " GS27 " I have had work on the paint. Thats prob the only TV product I can say that has ever worked like it said. Hope its just simple scratches and it will be a quick fix. If you do use the scratch remover I would also recommend to wax the area once you use the scratch remover. C-YA

I drove my car into the side of my garage....I took all the paint off the lower right bumber.....I took it to a guy and he fixed it for a $125.......He matched the paint perfect and looks like nothing never happened to it....

THere is a paint code on the inside of the driver door....It isn't on the door but when you open it look on the frame of the car...there is a code to match the paint....THe guy who did mine works out of his truck and can match any paint..I assume all paint shops can do the same...

Apexi is right let a pro do it ! the code for the blue is 24a. As a manager for a high end body shop and former painter some egg marks can leave pretty deep gouges that may need refinishing{painting}.without seeing them I cant tell you.
Vagas, the problem with alot of the spot repair guys is longevity looks good now but.... our car is a basecoat clearcoat finish and the repair most of these guys do is single stage{no clear}finish not always know for good life.

My car got Egged Saturday night, were the Egg hit There is a bunch of tiny scratches but hardly noticable,some *** in a Black CRX with Yellow righting on rear window did it :mad: But anyway I had to vent n u mentioned eggs

Vizax yeah exactly same thing as me. Its hard to notice but i know its there. ! You saw the retard that egged yours? I would have followed him and then called the cops and charged him for vandalism

But this happened in Pincourt ( Thats West of St-Anne-de-Bellevue ... ).

I was in a quiet neigbourhood.. i'm pretty sure its loser kids from the surroundings having nothing better to do than smoking a cigarette and throwing eggs at cars. Wierd thing is alarm didn't even go off. Lucky for them because i can run real fast.

Me and my ex took our daughter to trick or treat in Highland Park (Dallas Area, High Dollar Area). I pushed the baby in the stroller, up and down Beverly drive. When we got back, some asshole had egged the drivers's side, and it was starting to dry! Gone 30 minutes, and this is what I get in a rich neghborhood! :mad: Neeless to say, while cussing, I took it to the nearest Car Wash off of Inwood.

Yeah well if someone eggs your car, get it cleaned asap. I didnt ( cuz i noticed it the next morning ) .. and i just went to have an evaluation.. and it would cost me 250$ to fix it. There is like no paint left where the scratch marks are.

He said he has to repaint the whole back part where the scratches are so it wouldn't be noticable and thats why its 250$... ???

I had my bumper evaluated, i have 2 scratches ( one would require heating the bumper to have a perfect form again ) and he is charging 200$ for both.. their like much worse then that egg scratch.. er

Btw its canadian dollars... .. I find it absurd to pay 450$ for scratches that are barely noticable but then again it makes me crazy to know they are there.
