the guy is located in NC. He used someone else's computer when he went to CA....possibly his realitives house since he was there at this same time for a funeral....or so was posted on clubprotege.

I asked that question to someone on the other board who submitted a claim. They haven't heard anything yet and think the FBI internet fraud division is backed up, especially this time of year.

Paypal said that they couldn't refund me the money because his account was empty. I knew they wouldn't give me anything. However I had contacted my cc company at the same time. They asked for some info. I gave them everything and I got all my money back.

The funny thing is that paypal contacted me again once I got my money back from my cc company saying that they were contacted by my cc company and paypal wanted me to know that they also had their own resolution centre and I didn't have to call my cc company.

I really hate paypal. They are nothing but a money sucking company that will maybe only help you if ebay was involved and that is only a maybe.

yeah, I've been screwed by Paypal once, I spent hours on the phone with one of their "resolution advisors" or some crap. They kept telling me I couldn't get my money back but that they would investigate. I called my credit card company and they got me my money back, then just to be a prick I emailed paypal about it, they called me back the next day and told me the same s*** - about how I didn't have to call the credit card company and that after their investigation was finished I would get my money back.

I've kept my paypal account open anyway - I think there is like 3 dollars in it.

Well,
I called CapitalOne today.

I spent 5 minutes on the phone telling the fraud investigations lady what happened, and she was like OK.

I am getting my $$$$ back.

Getting my money back was only half of the fight though.


I want to see something happen to Brandon Barron or whoever this is......
