saw the first 2003.5 msp today..bright yellow color

saw him today...my friend was taking a cd out of his truck and he saw it drive by so we went and talked to him...they told him that its the 2003 and not the 2003.5...and the kewl thing is that he lives in the apts i live at...i told him to get on here tho..hopefully he will get some pics of it soon

i am not a big fan of that yellow. I just saw it at HIN last night, and the color wasn't the same as the yellow mp3.

Yeah, saw one at the Mazda Rev It Up event. Was pretty awesome, but didn't notice the difference in yellow. Guess I was paying attention to the Sparco stuff and interior too much!

actually at Rev it up they had a MSprotege, a P5, and a Mazda6 all lined up next to eachother (all yellow)

it was easy to see that the MS was just a slight bit more metallic and a little more faded looking that the other two (which were the same color)

not sure how it compares to the MP3's.

Oh, I didn't know it was different (now that I think about it... I did see MazdaspeeD)... so the 2003.5 also received different shift boot? Damn, should have just taken pic of interior and showed you guys instead... only have exterior shot of the car before I ran out of memory that day.

Oh yeah, no matter if you have the 2003 or 2003.5 Mazdaspeed... I'd strongly suggest upgrading to Kartboys' shifter bushings (if it is the same as the MP3) ... the 2003.5 Mazdaspeed shifter feels like a flexible rubber handle as it is.

Kartboy, TWM or B&M short shifters wouldn't be a bad upgrade either....

I saw a 2003.5 MSP at the RX7 Revolution a couple weeks ago. Saw the Sparco shift nob. Didn't like the rear wing. Everything else looks good. The yellow paint looks hot in the sunlight.

Err... okay, I should have taken a few more of the Mazdaspeed... but I didn't really pick that many good shots to take that would interest the Protege forum here. Mostly took pics of friend and me in Mazda 6...

I do have ONE of Mazdaspeed... but I also captured a shot of their P5 nicely modified. Someone sat on the P5's driver-side seat and broke the side-lumbar support cushion and the P5 was chained off from letting anyone sit inside... idiots.... but I was able to get inside before Mazda found out about it... it had a trunk full of subs... rear had BIG bottle of nitrous... and the car had a roll-cage built into it. Very nice stuff inside.
